A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH AN AMENDMENT TO THE GOLDEN VALLEY AREA
PLAN, FOR COMMERCIAL, MULTIFAMILY, AND LIGH'r INDUSTRIAL USE
POTENTIAL, LIMITED TO SECTIONS 2 AND 11, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE
19 WEST, GILA AND SALT RIVER BASE AND MERIDIAN, MOHAVE COUNTY,
ARIZONA
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held on February 5, 1990, a public hearing was
conducted to determine whether approval should be granted to
amend the Golden Valley Area Plan to include additional areas
contiguous to the dedicated plan already designated for specific
uses near the intersection of Highway 6B and Estrella Road. This
amendment will be for commercial, multifamily, and light
industrial use potential, limited to Sections 2 and 11, Township
21 North, Range 19 West, Gila and Salt River Base and Meridian,
Mohave County, Arizona, and
WHEREAS, Board Resolution #1457 and Resolution P&ZC: BO-62
allocated Parcels 252, 253, and 254, Section 11, Township 21
North, Range 19 West, for potential commercial use when it
updated the Golden Valley Plan for this area, and
WHEREAS, Resolution P&ZC: B7-26 allocated Parcels 251, 255,
and 256 as depicted on the Roadway Easement Map for Section 11,
Township 21 North, Range 19 West, for potential commercial use
when it updated the Golden Valley Area Plan for this area, and

WHEREAS, this area is currently zoned A-R/I0A (Agricultural-
Residential/Ten Acre Minimum Lot Size) and is approximately nine
(9) miles west of the Highway 6B/Highway 93 intersection, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing before the Mohave County Planning
and Zoning Commission on January 10, 1990 did generate a
recommendation of approval of an amendment to the adopted Golden
Valley Area Plan; that Sections 2 and 11, combined, are bounded
by Agua Fria on the north, Shipp Drive on the south, Estrella
Road on the west, and Laguna Road on the east.
This amendment
will be for commercial, mul tifamily, and light industrial use
potential as depicted on the attached map, "Exhibit A",and
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Mohave
Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman,
Mohave County, Arizona on January 19, 1990, and posted January
19, 1990 as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave
County Zoning Regulations, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Monday, February 5, 1990 approved
this change in the Golden Valley Area Plan as recommended by the
Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission as outlined herein.
