A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH CRITERIA BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
THAT SUBDIVIDED PROPERTY AND ASSOCIATED IMPROVEMENTS SHALL MEET
MOHAVE COUNTY STANDARD SPECIFICATION NUMBERS 101.10D, 102 AND 171
WI'l'HIN ALL AREAS DELINEATED AS URBAN "OVERLAY" ZONES AS A
CONDITION OF APPROVAL FOR SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors have delineated specific
Urban "Overlay" Zones within Mohave County that specifically
identify areas that would over a period of time grow in density
to urban like characteristics, and
WHEREAS,
the Board of Supervisors may set conditions

for
the approval of subdivisions in the unincorporated areas
of
Mohave County, and
WHEREAS,
the Board of Supervisors is encouraging its
citizenry to form Road Improvement Districts in the county to
improve the infrastructure in heavily impacted areas, and
WHEREAS, the County has set forth certain criteria for the
formation of these districts, namely that standard specification
number 101.10D, 102 and 171 with the appropriate bituminous seal
coat of either a fog seal or chip seal be incorporated into each
of the Road Improvement Districts as the cost to bond these
projects would indicate that the improvement should last for a
period of time over which the bond is paid without further cost
to the districts, and

WHEREAS, many of the citizen requested Road Improvement
Districts lie within the areas already designated as Urban
"Overlay" Zones and as such are meeting standard specification
numbers 101.10D, 102 and 171 with the appropriate seal coat, and
WHEREAS,
the Board of Supervisors feel that to be
consistent with its decision to require standard specification
numbers 101.10D, 102 and 171 with the appropriate seal coat
within each requested Road Improvement District of its citizenry,
that within the Urban "Overlay" Zones as identified by the Board
~ and updated from time to time each subdivider shall be required
to meet the same standards as a condition of approval for
subdivided property, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors
at their special meeting on February 20, 1990 approved this
amendment to require all subdividers of property meeting the
definition of the subdivision regulations of Mohave County, shall
be required as a condition of approval to meet Mohave County
Standard Specification numbers 101.10D, 102 and 171 with the
appropriate bituminous seal coat of either a fog seal or chip
seal, within the delineated boundaries of the Urban "Overlay"
Zones as they now exist and are updated from time to time, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of
Supervisors by this action is addressing the Health, Safety and
Welfare of its citizenry by placing the burden of impact upon the
developer as it relates to the subdivision of property within the
Urban "Overlay" Zones and by being consistent with requirements
that Road Improvement Districts shall meet these standards.
