PAGE 1 OF 2 BOS RECORDING FEE 0.00 NC -, RESOLUTION NO. 90-137 A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH APPROVAL OF A ZONING USE PERMIT TO EREC'l' AN OFF-PREMISE SIGN IN A C-2 (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) ZONE, BEING A PORTION OF SECTION 27, TOWNSHIP 19 NORTH, RANGE 22 WEST, LOCATED IN THE SOUTH MOHAVE VALLEY AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held June 4, 1990 a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted to Sterling Varner, Desert Lakes Development, Fort Mojave, Arizona for a Zoning Use Permit to erect an off-premise sign in a C-2 (General Commercial) zone, and WHEREAS, this subject site is located approximately three (3) miles south of the Bullhead City corporate limits. The sign will be located approximately 360 feet north of the northwest corner of Highway 95 and Joy Lane. This property is currently zoned for C-2 (General Commercial), and WHEREAS, Section 31.8Dl of the Mohave County zoning Ordinance stipulates that a Zoning Use Permit shall be obtained when an off-premise sign is being erected in a C-2 (General Commercial) zone. Approval of a sign location by the Arizona Department of Transportation is required after the issuance of the Zoning Use Permit and prior to the sign permit approval by .. 't. '." ___J and Zoning 9, 1990 did a generate Commission on May recommendation of approval of the Zoning Use Permit with the following conditions noted: 1. The sign shall not be modified or altered (Sec. 31-5a). 2. The sign shall not be relocated. 3. Permit shall become null and void if manufacture has not commenced within one hundred twenty (120) days from the date approved and if construction is not completed within two hundred forty (240) days. 4. Arizona Department of Transportation shall have approved the location the sign will be erected upon. 5. A minimum of one thousand (1,000 ') feet between off- premise signs facing the same traffic flow on the same street or freeway shall be required (Section 31.8-D3d). WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Mohave Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona on April 22, 1990 and posted April 25, 1990 as required by the Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Monday, June 4, 1990 approved this Zoning Use Permit as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission, subject to the conditions outlined herein.
