A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH APPROVAL OF A ZONING USE PERMIT TO
EXPAND AIRPORT FACILITIES IN AN A-R (AGRICULTURAL-RESIDENTIAL))
ZONE IN GOVERNMEN'l' LO'l'S 1 & 2, SECTION 29, TOWNSHIP 40 NORTH,
RANGE 16 WEST, LOCATED IN ARIZONA STRIP, MOlmVE COUNTY, ARIZONA
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held June 4, 1990 a public hearing was conducted
to determine whether approval should be granted to the City of
Mesquite, Nevada for a Zoning Use Permit to expand airport
r facilities in an A-R (Agricultural-Residential) zone, and

WHEREAS, the subject property is located approximately 2.5
miles northeast of the City of Mesquite, Nevada and is
approximately 1.5 miles north of 1-15 where it crosses the
Arizona state line.
This property's western border is adjacent
to the Arizona/Nevada state line boundary, and
WHEREAS, this area includes numerous lands under private,
Federal, and State ownership.
The subject property is owned by
BLM and is leasing Lots 1 & 2 to the applicant, being the City of
Mesquite, Nevada, and
WHEREAS, the applicant has requested this Zoning Use Permit
to help serve public needs as an extension of the Mesquite City

Airport for general public air transportation.
This property
will be segregated from operation of the public land laws,
including mining laws.
The surrounding property. is vacant and
owned by the U.S.A. and BLM, and
WHBREAS, Mesquite, Nevada is a rapidly growing city and must
meet the needs of it's growing population.
This airport
expansion would not be contrary to the spirit and intent of the
Mohave County Zoning Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing before the Mohave County Planning
and
Zoning
Commission on May 9,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Boa.rd of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Monday, June 4, 1990 approved this
Zoning Use Permit as recommended by the Mohave County Planning
and Zoning Commission, subject to the conditions outlined herein.
