PAGE 1 OF 3 BOS RECORDING FEE 0.00 HC RESOLUTION NO. 90-200 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING RIVERFRONT PARKWAY AS THE OFFICIAL STREET NAME FOR THE NORTHWEST-SOUTHEAST STREET CONNECTING PLANTATION DRIVE AND BARRACKMAN ROAD IN SECTION 23, TOWNSHIP 17 NORTH, RANGE 22 WEST, AS DEPICTED ON THE RECORDED FINAL SUBDIVISION PLAN FOR COLORADO RIVER FRONT TERRACE, TRACT 4082, LOCATED IN THE SOUTH MOHAVE VALLEY AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held Monday, August 6, 1990, a public hearing was conducted to establish Riverfront Parkway as the official street name for the northwest/southeast street connecting Plantation Drive and Barrackman Road in Section 23, Township 17 North, Range 22 West, and WHEREAS, this item went to the Commission through the requirements of Ordinance Section 32: House Numbering and Road Naming Regulations which was approved by the Board of Supervisors on July 2, 1990 via Resolution No. 90-159, and WHEREAS, Section 23 is located approximately thirteen (13) miles due south of Bullhead City. Highway 95 makes a ninety (90) degree turn to the east approximately one (1) mile north of Section 23. The continuing southern road from this junction is named Barrackman Road. Resolution No. 90-200 PAGE 2 OF 3 BK 1771 PG 171 (FEEt90- 55777) Page 2 this intersection the old name of Mohave Valley Highway continued although the highway function was superseded by Highway 95. The Mohave Valley Highway at one time crossed a bridge into Needles, California. This bridge has since been removed and the highway dead-ends at the Wildlife Refuge, and WHEREAS, when Colorado River Front Terrace, Tract 4082 was approved, the name of Mohave Valley Highway was changed to River Front Road. The applicants, Frank & Diana Curcio, wish to change the name from River Front Road to River Front Parkway. This road is a dike road and if the name change is approved, the name River Front Parkway should extend from Plantation Drive to it's terminus or possible the point where the existing road leaves the dike, and WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission at their meeting on July 18, 1990 did recommend APPROVAL of this road name change contingent upon the following conditions: 1. That this name shall be in effect for this road unto it's terminus. 2. That addressing be in accordance with Section 32: Road Numbering & Road Naming Regulations of the Mohave County Zoning Ordinance. WHEREAS, the notice for this public hearing was published in the Mohave Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona and in the Mohave Valley News, on r --- I 1 -' - -_. ~ . . c_, Resolution No. 90-200 PAGE 3 OF 3 BK 1771 PG 172 (FEEt90- 55777) Page 3 i , i July 20, 1990 and posted July 20, 1990 as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Monday, August 6, 1990 approved this street name change as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
