PAGE 1 OF 2 BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RECORDING FEE 0.00 NC RESOLUTION NO. 90-242 A RESOLUTION AMENDING MOHAVE COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 89-1, REVISING THE CURRENT FEES BEING CHARGED UNDER THE MOHAVE COUNTY BUILDING CODE FOR COMMERCIAL PERMITS WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on September 4, 1990, a public hearing was conducted to adopt a revision of current fees being charged under the Building Code for Commercial Permits, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, in order to revise the current fees being charged under the Mohave County Building Code for commercial permits, the following section of Ordinance 89-1 needs to be rewritten as such: Section 3 - Technical Codes A. 1 ) Section 304 (c) plan review fees "Said plan review fee shall be 65 percent of the building permit fee as shown in Table 3-A, EXCEPT any building permit for commercial or multifamily that would use sophisticated construction techniques beyond the expertise of county plan reviewers or uses exceeding $10,0,000 in valuations, shall include plumbing, mechanical, and electrical fees, as shown in Table 3-A of above codes. (changes are indicated by bold type) . - , . ~AGE 2 OF 2 BK 1787 PG 358 (FEEt90- 63580) Resolution No. 90-242 Page 2 WHEREAS, this change sets appropriate fees for review of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical on large projects that are sent out to be reviewed by the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO). Typically, large or complicated projects require increased administration and inspection time and costs; this change addresses these costs. The primary concern addressed is that the project fees are born by the applicant and not subsidized by the County taxpayer, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 4, 1990 approved this amendment to the Mohave County Building Code Ordinance No. 89-1 as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
