If members of the public wish to address the Board regarding an item they may fill out the Mohave County
Board of Supervisors Request to Speak Form that is located in the back of the room on the table, paying special
attention to indicate the item number. The form shouM then be given to the Clerk of the Board or Deputy Clerk
prior to the meeting. Note further that the time limit rule, noted on the form, will be enforced.

THIS AGENDA PURSUANT TO A.R.S. 38-431.03 (A) (3).
OFFICIAL BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD:
1. BUSTER D. JOHNSON~ CHAIRMAN - MOHAVE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:
A) Discussion and possible action RE: Representatives from Arizona Governor Jane D. Hull's
office to review and discuss Growing Smarter legislation.
B) Discussion and possible action RE: Representatives from the Arizona State Land Department to
review and discuSs Secretary Babbitt's proposed land exchange plan.
D) Discussion and possible action RE: The appointment of representatives to lobby and negotiate
with the Department of Interior, the Governor's office and other interested parties for a
significant role for Mohave County in the planning process for the Grand Canyon/Parashant
National Monument and for the $1 million requested by Mohave County's planning efforts
relating to the monument designation, and identifying a source of funds for the
lobbying/negotiating effort (as continued from the April 24, 2000, meeting).
2. CAROL S. ANDERSON~ MOHAVE COUNTY SUPERVISOR DISTRICT 1:
A) Discussion and possible action RE: Mohave County's participation in the Hazard
Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) for the Mohave Wash project.
