A RESOLUTION MODIFYING THE ADOPTED SOUTH MORAVE VALLEY AREA PLAN,
TO AMEND THE DEDICATED PLAN OF AGRICULTURAL-RESIDENTIAL FOR
SINGLE FAMILY POTENTIAL USES IN THE W~ OF THE NW~ OF SECTION 25,
TOWNSHIP 18 NORTH, RANGE 22 WEST, TO BE PART OF THE REVISED
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR MORAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held on February 4, 1991, a public hearing was
conducted to modify the adopted South Mohave Valley Area plan, to
amend the dedicated plan to allow for single family potential
uses, being a portion of Section 25, Township 18 North, Range 22
West, bounded by Mountain View Road, King Street, Vanderslice
Road, and Aguila Drive, located in the South Mohave Valley area,
as outlined in Exhibit "A", and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission is required to
recommend to the Board of Supervisors a County land use General
Plan which is designed to conserve natural resources, aid public
spending, and promote the health, safety, convenience, and
general welfare of the public, and
WHEREAS, Section 25 is approximately eight miles south of
Bullhead City and one mile east of Highway 95.

bounded by Mountain View Road, King Street, Vanderslice Road and

of mostly residential

with some commercial activity (cotton gin).
The applicant
desires to make provisions for an eighty acre subdivision with
single family uses, and
WHEREAS, staff received a number of calls from property
owners within this section with the main theme being the
retention of agricultural-residential uses.
Based on these
requests and the applicants proposal, the Planning and zoning
Commission recommended APPROVAL of the original proposal for
amending the South Mohave Area Plan. This amendment will provide
for single family residential uses in the W~ NW~ of Section 25
with the rest of the section retaining its agricultural-
residential uses, and
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman
Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman,
Mohave County, Arizona, and Mohave valley News, on January 18,
1991 and posted January 18, 1991 as required by Arizona Revised
Statutes and the Mohave County zoning Regulations, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Monday, February 4, 1991 approved and
adopted this update of the South Mohave Valley Area Plan as
recommended by the Mohave County Planning and zoning Commission
and outlined herein.
