MICROfiLMED TNOEXEI) ===91- 2031 BK 18~2 PG 3 OFFICIAL RECORDS OF MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ !~OAN McCALL, NOHAVE COUNTY RECORDER ul/l~/91 8:00 A.M. ~AGE 1 OF 4 MOHAVE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RECORD!NG FEE 0.00 He RESOLUTION NO. 91-23 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE GOLDEN VALLEY AREA PLAN, TO PROVIDE A MIXTURE OF COMMERCIAL, MULTIFAMILY, AND SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL, TO BE PART OF THE REVISED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on January 7 1991, a public hearing was conducted to amend the Golden Valley Area Plan to provide for a mixture of commercial, multifamily, single family residential and park uses in Section 6, Township 21 North, Range 18 West, being bounded by Colorado & Teddy Roosevelt Roads, Agua Fria & Chino Drives, located in the Golden Valley area, and WHEREAS, the Planning and zoning Commission is required to recommend to the Board of Supervisors a County' land use General plan which is designed to conserve natural resources, aid public spending, and promote the health, safety, convenience, and general welfare of the public, and WHEREAS, Section 6 is located approximately 6 miles west of the Highway 68 and 93 junction and approximately 1/2 mile north of Highway 68. This section is bounded by Colorado & Teddy Roosevelt Roads, Agua Fria & Chino Drives. The section is currently sparsely populated with about 10 homes according to !. ll., . .AGE 2 OF BK 1842 PG + n (FEE~91- 2031 ) Resolution No. 91-23 Page 2 staff land use maps. The applicant is representing Quail Creek subdivision which at this time is just beginning its preliminary plat stage. The land uses proposed consist of commercial at the four corners with additional R-M at three of the corners. A small commercial node was also suggested on Burro Drive and Colorado Road. A small park was proposed south of the Quail Creek development, and WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission staff held a meeting on December 5, 1990 at which this proposed amendment was discussed. No opposition was expressed except for the location of the park as it was on land not owned by the applicant. The applicant asserted that a park was proposed for part of Quail Creek but was withdrawn because of the cost of paving and replaced with home sites, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommends APPROVAL of the proposal for amending the Golden Valley Area Plan as shown on Exhibit "A" with the exception of the public park site. After public input, the park site was deleted. The Planning Commission recommends approval of the Plan Update and instructed staff to refer the park issue to the consultant for recommendation, and WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, ... ' . ~PAGE 3 OF BY. 1842 PG 4 34 (FEE091- 2031) Resolution No. 91-23 Page 3 Mohave County, Arizona on December 21, 1990 and posted December 20', 1990 as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Monday, January 7, 1991 approved and adopted this amendment to the Golden Valley Area Plan as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
