A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH CONDITIONAL APPROVAL OF A REQUEST TO
ABANDON THE SOUTH EIGHT ( 8 ') FEET OF A PORTION OF THE ROADWAY
EASEMENT KNOWN AS CHINO DRIVE, LOCATED NORTH OF PARCEL 3, HORIZON
ESTATES, TRACT 3030, LOCATED IN THE GOLDEN VALLEY AREA, MOHAVE
COUNTY, ARIZONA
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held March 4, 1991 a public hearing was conducted
to determine whether approval should be granted to D & S
Enterprises, Incorporated, Riviera, Arizona, for abandonment of
the south eight (8') feet of a portion of the roadway easement
known as Chino Drive, located north of Parcel 3 (Horizon Estates,
Tract 3030), Section 12, Township 21 North, Range 19 West,
located in the Golden Valley area, and
WHEREAS, this abandonment is being requested in order to
accommodate the design of Horizon Estates, Tract 3030. The
Mohave County Public Works Department requires a forty-two (42')
foot right-of-way for all section line roads. An abandonment of
the southern eight (8') feet of the existing fifty (50) foot
roadway easement would not adversely affect the traffic
circulation in the area. This additional eight (8') feet will be
applied to the backyard/open space needed for the duplexes
adjacent to Chino Drive, and

WHEREAS, a public hearing before the Mohave County Planning
and zoning Commission on February 13, 1991 did generate a
recommendation of approval of this abandonment with the following
conditions noted:
1. Compliance with Board of Supervisors Resolution 91-51.
2. The new preliminary plat shall be in full compliance
with Article VIII of the Mohave County Subdivision
Regulations.
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman
Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman,
Mohave County, Arizona, on February 17 and 24, 1991, and posted
February 15, 1991 as required by the Arizona Revised Statutes and
the Mohave County Zoning Regulations, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Monday, March 4, 1991 approved this
abandonment request as recommended by the Mohave County Planning
and Zoning Commission, subject to the condition outlined herein.
