PAGE 1 OF 3 MGHAVE COUNTY BOARD OF, SUPERVISORS RECORDING FEE 0.00 HC RESOLUTION NO. 91-186 A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH APPROVAL OF A ZONING USE PERMIT TO ESTABLISH A GAS LINE COMPRESSOR STATION AND PERTINENT FACILITIES ON A TEN (10) ACRE PARCEL IN THE SW~ SECTION 36, TOWNSHIP 16 NORTH, RANGE 21 WEST, IN AN R-E (RESIDENTIAL RECREATION) ZONE, LOCATED IN THE TOPOCK AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held July 1, 1991 a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted to Mojave Pipeline Company of Bakersfield, California for a Zoning Use Permit to establish a gas line compressor station and pertinent facilities on a ten (10) acre parcel in the SW~ Section 36, Township 16 North, Range 21 West, in an R-E (Residential Recreation) zone, located in the Topock area, and WHEREAS, Section 36 is a State Land Department section lying just north of 1-40 and between the Topock traffic interchange and the Needles Mountain interchange. There are several gas line compressor stations in this area and this location is shared with El Paso facilities, and WHEREAS, access to the site is by private access roads and the facilities are to be completely fenced with locked gates. The State Highway Department has a main highway maintenance facility one (1) mile to the west. The area is basically Mojave Desert washes and ridges, and low hardy shrubs, and WHEREAS, a public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on June 12, 1991 did generate a recommendation of conditional approval of the Zoning Use Permit (ZUP) with the following conditions noted: 1. The applicants comply with any applicable provlslon of Section 25, 26, 27, and 31 of the Mohave County zoning Regulations. 2. If construction or use has not commenced within one (1) year of the Board of Supervisors approval of the ZUP or if the use has been discontinued for six (6) months, then approval shall terminate at that date. 3. This ZUP is subject to revocation upon sixty (60) days notification by the Board of Supervisors, if in the oplnlon of the Commission and the Board the continued use of the property would be contrary to the public health, safety and welfare. 4. That a Zoning/Building Permit be obtained. WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona on June 16, 1991, and posted June 14, 1991 as required by the Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County , .1 [,J Zoning Regulations, and "- . ~GE 3 OF 3 BK 1913 PG 463 (FEE~91-35465) Page 3 Resolution No. 91-186 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Monday, July 1, 1991 approved this zoning Use Permit as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission, subject to the conditions outlined herein.
