PAGE 1 OF 3 'e?.)~/7'~ ~~ -.o.~ I'iOHAVE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS ~ .,.RECORDING FEE 0.00 NC RESOLUTION NO. 91-239 A RESOLUTION REVOKING A ZONING USE PERMIT PERMITTING THE OPERATION OF A KENNEL KNOWN AS STEVEDORE KENNELS, ON LOT 10, BLOCK E, GOLDEN VALLEY RANCHOS :# 11 SOUTH, LOCATED IN THE YUCCA AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on September 3, 1991, a public hearing was conducted to determine the revocation of a zoning Use Permit permitting the operation of a kennel known as Stevedore Kennels, on Lot 10 Block E, Golden Valley Ranchos #11 South, Section 1, Township 17 North, Range 17 West, which was granted to Dorinda Denman and Steve Strick of Yucca, Arizona, and WHEREAS, Section 1 is located approximately seven (7) miles east of . Yucca Townsite. . The subject property is accessed from the I-40 West Yucca Interchange via Alamo Road south to Borianna Mine road thence east approximately 8 miles to Suzette Road thence north to Betty Drive thence east to Alan Road thence north approximately 600 feet on the west side of the street, and WHEREAS, a Zoning Use Permit (ZUP) was issued for a kennel '-1 at this location via P&ZC: Resolution 86-48. The Environmental Health Division has requested the ZUP for this site be revoked. A ZUP can be revoked by the Board of Supervisors with proper notification if the Commission and the Board feel the continued use would be detrimental to the public health, safety and welfare as noted in condition #2 of Resolution 86-48. The kennel operator was informed of specific findings in a zoning violation letter dated June 10, 1991 and Environmental Division letter dated May 23, 1991. Research by the Commission staff and consultation with the Environmental Health Division indicates the revocation of this ZUP is justified and should be invoked, and WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on August 14, 1991, there was generated a unanimous recommendation of REVOCATION of the Zoning Use Permit, granted by Resolution 86-48, providing for the establishment and operation of a kennel at this location based on the findings referenced above, and .; WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona on August 18, 1991, and posted August 16, 1991 as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations, and _ _... _____ _____~_.....__".__......,-_..r.-. ..,,~
