PAGE 1 OF 3 HOHAVE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RECORDING FEE 0.00 He -, \ 1 'i RESOLUTION NO. 91-224 \ , _ l \ A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH APPROVAL OF A PETITION OF EXCEPTION FOR STREETS LESS THAN STANDARD WIDTH AND FOR INVERTED CROWN' STREETS WITHIN HORIZON ESTATES, TRACT 3030, BEING A SUBDIVISION OF PARCEL 3, ROADWAY AND UTILITY EASEMENT PLAT OF SECTION 12, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 19 WEST, LOCATED IN THE GOLDEN VALLEY AREA, MORAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA. WHEREAS, at the special meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on August 19, 1991, a public hearing was conducted to determine the approval of the Petition of Exception from Article 6.4-13, which requires minimum widths and Article 6.4-14, which requires standard construction, of the Mohave County Subdivision Regulations. This request is for street~ less than standard width and inverted crown streets, and WHEREAS, the site of this project is located approximately 7.5 miles west of the junction of Highways 68 and 93 and fronts upon Highway 68' s northern border. Moreover, this property is located at the northeast corner of Highway 68 and Hoover Road, and WHEREAS, the Final Plan for Horizon Estates, Tract 3030, was conditionally approved on August 5, 1991 by Board of Supervisors Resolution Number 91-212, and .. . ~B~ 2 OF 3 ~ 1933 PG 994 (FEE~91-44727) Page 2 / , -." Resolution No. 91-224 WHEREAS, this Petition of Exception was submitted by the applicant, after approval of the Final Plat, requesting that the Board of Supervisors grant an exception from the Subdivision Regulations as outlined in Article 1.13 for the following reasons: 1. The granting of this petition will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to other adjacent properties because: A. The finished street section will very nearly match, in width, the standard section required by Mohave County so that there will be no visual effect. The proposed streets will serve no other than the residents and guests of the proposed subdivision. Further, utility easements 8 feet in width are proposed on either side of the street right-of-way so that residents will be provided with the same services as though the streets meet the requirements. [ B. The inverted crown street section is required to carry the storm runoff within the limits of paving of the street right-of-way. The street, as stated in "A" above is of sufficient width to accomplish this. 2. This request will not nullify the intent or purpose of the Master Plan of the County or other Regulations because the proposed subdivision will not effect anything outside the subject project. WHEREAS, the Board felt that the granting of said Petition of Exception would not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to other adjacent properties, nor would the intent or purpose of the Master Plan of Mohave County or other Regulations ( ,-:~ \ ~. \ .'.' be nullified, because the proposed exceptions would not effect ..
