A RESOLUTION DENYING THE REZONING OF A LOT 3, BLOCK A, GOLDEN
SAGE RANCHOS UNIT 84, SECTION 21, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 19
WEST, FROM: A-R/2A (AGRICULTURAL RESIDENTIAL/TWO ACRE MINIMUM LOT
SIZE, PROPOSED TO BE: A-R/1A (AGRICULTURAL RESIDENTIAL/ONE ACRE
MINIMUM LOT SIZE) ZONE, LOCATED IN THE GOLDEN VALLEY AREA, MORAVE
COUNTY, ARIZONA
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held on August 5, 1991, a public hearing was
conducted to determine whether approval/denial should be granted
to Charles R. Floyd and patricia A. Floyd of Kingman, Arizona,
for a rezoning from existing A-R/2A (Agricultural-Residential/Two

approximately 660 feet south of Redwall Drive on the west side of
Egar Road in the Golden Valley area, and
WHEREAS, Section 21 is approximately eleven (11) miles west
of the U.S. Highway 93, Highway 68 interchange and approximately
two (2) miles south of Highway 68.
The subject property is
accessed from Highway 68 south via Egar Road approximately 2.5
miles on the west side of the street or approximately 660 feet
south of Redwall Drive, and

WHEREAS, review of floodplain map #040058-2300B indicates
this area to be clear of a designated flood zone.
The subject
property is surrounded primarily by residential and vacant
properties, and
WHEREAS, the owner is applying for a zone change on a 2.2
acre parcel of land from A-R/2A (Agricultural Residential/Two
Acre
Minimum
Lot
Size)
zone
to
A-R/1A
(Agricultural
Residential/One Acre Minimum Lot Size) zone, which would permit
the division of this parcel into two (2) 1.1 acre parcels thereby
allowing the placement of an additional dwelling unit, and

WHEREAS, this property is located within the Golden Valley
Improvement District and the Building Code Overlay Zone, and
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County
Planning and Zoning Commission on July 10, 1991, there was
generated a unanimous recommendation of DENIAL of the zone change
request from the Planning and Zoning Commission as all
surrounding lots are zoned A-R/2A (Agricultural Residential/Two
Acre Minimum Lot Size) and this request would be inconsistent
with the area, and

Mohave County, Arizona on July 21, 1991, and posted July 18, 1991
as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County
zoning Regulations, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Monday, August 5, 1991 denied this
change in zoning as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and
Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
