PAGE 1 OF 3 nqHAvE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RECORDING FEE 0.00 He RESOLUTION NO. 92-12 A RESOLUTION DENYING THE REZONING OF LOT 8, BLOCK F, GOLDEN VALLEY RANCHOS UNIT 8, FROM: A-R/2A (AGRICULTURAL RESIDENTIAL/TWO ACRE MINIMUM LOT SIZE) ZONE, PROPOSED TO BE: A-R/IA (AGRICULTURAL RESIDENTIAL/ONE ACRE MINIMUM LOT SIZE) ZONE, LOCATED IN THE GOLDEN VALLEY AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on January 6, 1992, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval/denial should be granted to Don Paul of Riviera, Arizona, for a rezoning from existing A- R/2A (Agricultural Residential/Two Acre Minimum Lot Size) zone to A-R/IA (Agricultural Residential/One Acre Minimum Lot Size), occupying the northwest corner of Moenkopi Drive and Hopi Road, in the Golden Valley area, and WHEREAS, Section 3 is approximately five (5) miles south of Highway 68 and approximately eleven (11) miles west of the Highway 68 and 93 junction. The subject property is accessed from highway 68 via Estrella Road south approximately 4.8 miles to Shinarump Drive, west to Jade Road approximately one-half (.5) mile south to Moenkopi Drive thence approximately one-half (.5) mile west to the corner of Moenkopi Drive and Hopi Road, and ... . . Resolution No. 92-12 PAGE 2 OF 3 BK 1992 PG 550 (FEEt92- 1084) Page 2 WHEREAS, review of the floodplain map #040058-2325B indicates this parcel to be clear of a designated floodplain. The property is currently occupied by a single wide Mobile Home. Surrounding land uses consist of a mixture of homes and vacant land. The applicant desires to split this 2+ acre parcel into two 1+ parcels. This property is not located within the Building Code area or a water district, and WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on December 11, 199 1 , the Commission, by a vote of 4 to 3 did generate a recommendation of DENIAL of this rezone petition from A-R/2A to A-R/1A based on the following: "Inconsistent with surrounding properties and the remoteness of the split from the highway." WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona on December 22, 1991, and posted December 20, 1991 as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations, and .. ...Jio. ... . .GE BK 3 OF 3 1992 PG 551 (FEE~92- 1084) Resolution No. 92-12 Page 3 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Monday, January 6, 1992 DENIED this change in zoning as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
