RESOLUTION NO. 92-40
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH CONDITIONAL APPROVAL OF A REQUEST OF
ABANDONMENT OF THE EXISTING SEVENTY -FIVE ( 75 ') FOOT ROAD RIGHT-
OF-WAY, BEING CALLE SONITA, IN SECTION 29, TOWNSHIP 23 NORTH,
RANGE 16 WEST, LOCATED IN THE KINGMAN AREA, MOHA VE COUNTY,
ARIZONA
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held February 3, 1992 a public hearing was
conducted to determine whether approval should be granted to
James and Mary Ellen Teeter of San Diego, California, for the
abandonment of the existing seventy-five (75') foot road right-
of-way, being Calle Sonoita, beginning at the southeast corner of
Section 29 extending east seventy-five (75') feet, in the Kingman
area, and
WHEREAS, the subject property is located approximately two
and one-half (2.5) miles east of Stockton Hill Road and five (5)
miles north of Kingman city limits.
Access to the property is
from Stockton Hill Road east on Jane Avenue one and four-tenths
(1.4) miles to Cherum Road, then south three-tenths (.3) mile on
Cherum Road to Calle Alamo.
On Calle Alamo one and one-tenth
(1.1) mile to Hualapai Road, then north on Hualapai Road to its
intersection with Calle Sonoita. This project site is located in
the northeast quadrant of this intersection. This abandonment is
concerned with the seventy five (75') foot road right-of-way, and

WHEREAS, the applicant is requesting this abandonment in
order to facilitate design of the new sixty (60') foot right-of-
way extending easterly.
As provided by the Mohave County
Subdivision Regulations Article 6.03, the applicant has provided
a petition for an abandonment, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing before the Mohave County Planning
and Zoning Commission on January 8, 1992 did generate a
recommendation of approval of this abandonment with the following
conditions noted:
1. In his letter Harold J. Ganyo, County Engineer states,
"No objection to this request to abandon 75 feet along
Calle Sonoita conditional to the 60' dedication along
the south boundary of this parcel. This area falls
within a FEMA zone A."

WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman
Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman,
Mohave County, Arizona, on January 19 and 26, 1992 and posted
January 17, 1992 as required by the Arizona Revised Statutes and
the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Monday, February 3, 1992 approved
this abandonment request as recommended by the Mohave County
Planning and Zoning Commission, subject to the condition outlined
herein.
