RESOLUTION NO. 92-157
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE URBAN OVERLAY ZONE TO INCLUDE SECTION
12, TOWNSHIP 22 NORTH, RANGE 17 WEST, LOCATED IN THE KINGMAN
AREA, MORAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held on May 4, 1992, a public hearing was
conducted to extend the Urban Overlay Zone to include Section 12,
Township 22 North, Range 17 West, being east of Stockton Hill
Road in the Cerbat Ranches area, located in the Kingman area, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission received a request from Mr.
& Mrs. F.D. Gore who indicated they represent property owners in
the Quail Valley & Cerbat Ranches area. The request asked that
the Urban Overlay zone be extended to include their area. The
letter indicated the residents were concerned about homes not
being built to code.
The letter also indicated the applicants
knew that building permit costs would be higher than current
zoning permit fees, and
WHEREAS, the area under evaluation is located approximately
three and one-half ( 3 .5) miles north of the Northern Avenue &
Stockton Hill Road intersection. The Cerbat Ranches are accessed
from Stockton Hill Road via Cactus Wren Road. There has been an

increase in building activity in the past and the applicants feel
that the inclusion of this area into the Urban Overlay/Building
Code area is warranted.
Sections 13 & 24 would need to be
included in this evaluation in order to connect Section 12 with
the current overlay zone, and
WHEREAS, the Planning and zoning Commission at their meeting
on April 8, 1992 did recommend APPROVAL of the request for an
extension of the urban overlay zone, and
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman
Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman,
Mohave County, Arizona on April 19, 1992, and posted April 17,
1992 as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and Mohave County
Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Monday, December 2, 1991, approved
this extension of the Urban Overlay Zone as recommended by the
Mohave County Planning and zoning Commission and outlined herein.
