PAGE 1 OF 3 MOHAVE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RECORDING FEE 0.00 He RESOLUTION NO. 92-258 A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH THE ABANDONMENT OF AN EASEMENT BEGINNING AT THE NORTHEAST PROPERTY LINE OF LOT 1, BLOCK 56, CHLORIDE TOWNSITE, AND ENDING AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 4, BLOCK 56, CHLORIDE TOWNSITE, SECTION 3, TOWNSHIP 23 NORTH, RANGE 18 WEST, LOCATED IN THE CHLORIDE AREA, MORAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on August 3, 1992, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted to Mr. & Mrs. John J. McDonough of Cotati, California, for the abandonment of an easement beginning at the northeast property line of Lot 1, Block 56, and ending at the northwest corner of Lot 4, Block 56, Chloride Townsite, Section 3, Township 23 North, Range 18 West, located in the Chloride area, and WHEREAS, Chloride Townsite is located approximately four (4) miles northeast of US Highway 93. The subject property is accessed from US Highway 93 via State Highway 62 northeast approximately four and one-quarter (4.25) miles to Fourth Street, thence north approximately one-quarter (.25) mile to Emmerson Avenue, thence west approximately three hundred forty (340') feet to the southeast corner of Lot 1 being ninety (90') feet south of the proposed abandonment, and '. ... . . Resolution No. 92-258 Page 2 WHEREAS, review of the floodplain map #040058-1975B indicates this parcel to be clear of a designated floodplain. The property is currently vacant. Surrounding land uses consist primarily of single family dwellings and vacant land. The applicant desires to abandon a portion of roadway adjacent to the subject property, and WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on July 8, 1992, the Commission recommended conditional APPROVAL of the requested abandonment with the applicant understanding and accepting the following (.-"'~ , conditions: 1 . The Public works Department has reviewed this request for abandonment and has no objection. 2. That portion of road right-of-way accrue to Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Block 56, in the Chloride Townsite. WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Standard, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, on July 18 and 25, 1992, and posted July 15, 1992 as required by Arizona Revised Statutes, and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
