HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-251 t' - - , rfJ ./ / \)~'J . dl!J.lt~fU.Mm RESOLUTION NO. 92-251 A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH AN EXTENSION OF TIME FOR THE APPROVED PRELIMINARY PLAN OF BEAVER DAM RESORT, TRACT 3015, BEING A SUBDIVISION OF A PORTION OF SECTION 5, TOWNSHIP 40 NORTH, RANGE 15 WEST, LOCATED IN THE LITTLEFIELD/BEAVER DAM PORTION OF THE ARIZONA STRIP AREA, MORAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on August 3, 1992, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted to G. R. Frisby of Mesquite, Nevada, for an extension of time for the approved preliminary plan of BEAVER DAM RESORT, Tract 3015, being a subdivision of a portion of Section 5, Township 40 North, Range 51 West, located in the Littlefield/Beaver Dam portion of the Arizona Strip area, and WHEREAS, the owner/developer of this tract is G. R. Frisby of Beaver Dam, Arizona. Engineer responsible for the preparation and design of this subdivision was Phylip Leslie, P.E., Row1ey- Leslie Associates, Ceder City, Utah. Drainage study for the Beaver Dam Wash was prepared by Frank R. Leibrock and Hooper Knowlton, Jr., P.E.'s with AlE Intra Group, Inc., Salt Lake City, Utah, and WHEREAS, the plan as submitted and reviewed is a subdivision of thirty-two (32) acres and subdivided into two hundred six " <!- ' . . Resolution No. 92-251 Page 2 (206) park model and R-V lots, thirty-three (33) twin home lots (66 units), eleven (11) acres common area and golf course is to be owned/maintained by the owner/subdivider, and WHEREAS, the Preliminary Plan for this tract was approved on July 6, 1987, via Resolution P&ZC: 87-100. Article 3.10-1 states "Upon application to the commission and prior to the expiration, of the time limit, extensions in increments of one (1) year may be granted by the Board if the subdivider is actively processing the Final Plat. If such action is not taken than all proceedings relating to the plat shall be terminated", and WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on July 8, 1992, the Commission recommended conditional APPROVAL of the requested extension of time with the applicant understanding and accepting the following conditions: 1. In the letter dated May 21, 1992 Mr. G. R. Frisby, President of Beaver Dam Development, Inc., states, "This project was halted May 17, 1989 by a Cease and Desist order by the Federal Government." 2. This is the fourth extension of time for this project. Board of Supervisor Resolution No. 91-260 brought it current to July 6, 1992. 3. This extension of time will be in effect until July-6, 1993. 4 . As provided in Article 3.10-1 ..., extensions in increments of one (1) year may be granted by the Board if the subdivider is actively processinq the Final Plat. Resolution No. 92-251 Page 3 At the request of Roqer Esquerra, cartoqrapher , the Planninq Commission recommends Final plat Boundaries be a triple wide line as the 1/8" blue line border obscures dimensions. WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Standard, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, on July 18, 1992, and in The Daily Spectrum and Desert Echo, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes, and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Monday, August 3, 1992 approved this extension of time for the preliminary plan of BEAVER DAM RESORT, Tract 3015, as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
