PAGE 1 OF 3 MOHAVE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RECORDING FEE 0.00 Me RESOLUTION NO. 92-233 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE MOHAVE COUNTY ZONING REGULATION BY SETTING FORTH APPROVAL OF A ZONING USE PERMIT FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CHURCH, IN AN "A" (GENERAL) ZONE, LOCATED ON THE W~ W~ E~ W~ AND W~ E~ LOT 110, GATEWAY ACRES #9, SECTION 9, TOWNSHIP 25 NORTH, RANGE 19 WEST, LOCATED IN THE DOLAN SPRINGS AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held July 6, 1992 a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted to Joshua Southern Baptist Mission of Dolan Springs, Arizona, for a Zoning Use Permit (ZUP) for the establishment of a church in an "A" (General) zone, located on pierce Ferry Road, two hundred (200') feet west of ~el Monte Drive, in the Dolan Springs area, and . I WHEREAS, Lot 110 is located approximately three (3) miles northeast of the Pierce Ferry Road and Highway 93 junction. The site has direct access to Pierce Ferry Road as the road intersects the southwestern corner, and WHEREAS, review of floodplain map #040058-1775B indicates this area to be clear of a designated floodplain. The site is currently occupied by a residence. Surrounding land uses consist of scattered homes to the southeast and mostly vacant land. The '\ .... . . Resolution No. 92-233 Page 2 applicant desires to establish a church on this site in conjunction with the existing residence, and WHEREAS, a public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on June 10, 1992 and did generate a recommendation of APPROVAL of the requested Zoning Use Permit contingent upon the following conditions: 1. The applicant comply with all applicable provisions of Sections 25, 26, 27, and 31 of the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. Compliance with Section 27. P (Site Plan Requirements) and Ordinance 87-1 (Dark Sky Ordinance) is also required. 2. That appropriate zoning/building/environmental permits be obtained. 3. If construction or use has not commenced within one (1) year of Board approval of the Zoning Use Permit or if the use has been discontinued for six (6) months, then approval shall terminate at that date. This I Zoning Use Permit is subject to revocation upon sixty (60) days notification by the Board of Supervisors, if in the opinion of the Commission and Board the continued use of the property would be contrary to the public health, safety, and welfare. 5. If these conditions are not met within one (1) year this approval shall be void. If at the expiration of this period the property has not been improved for the use for which it was conditionally approved, the Board after notification by registered mail to the owner and applicant who requested the ZUP shall schedule a public hearing to grant an extension, determine compliance with the schedule for development or cause the property to revert to its former zoning classification in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes Annotated, Title 11, Chapter 6, 11-832. Resolution No. 92-233 Page 3 Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, on June 21 1992, and posted June 19, 1992 as required by the Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Monday, July 6, 1992 approved this Amendment to the Mohave County Zoning Regulation by granting this Zoning Use Permit as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission, subject to the conditions outlined herein.
