RESOLUTION NO. 93-16
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH THE ABANDONMENT OF TRACT A, BEING A
RESUBDIVISION OF RUBI ACRES OF SUNWARD HO! RANCHES, SECTION 33,
TOWNSHIP 23 NORTH, RANGE 16 WEST, LOCATED IN THE NORTH KINGMAN
PORTION OF THE MOHAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held on January 4, 1993, a public hearing was
conducted to determine whether approval should be granted to
Ellis and Thelma P. Rucker of Kingman, Arizona, for the
abandonment of Tract A, a resubdivision of Rubi Acres of Sunward
Ho! Ranches, situated in Section 33, Township 23 North, Range 16
West, located in the North Kingman portion of the Mohave County
General area, and
WHEREAS, the above describe subdivision was recorded thirty-
two (32) years ago, in 1961, which reserved Parcel A for future
recreation and/or school site.
It was the opinion, in a
conversation with the County Attorney's office, that abandonment
proceedings be completed to abandon the public's interest in this
parcel.
The site is approximately five (5) miles north of
Jagerson Avenue and approximately three and a half (3.5) miles
east of Stockton Hill Road, and

WHEREAS, review of Floodplain map #040058-3110B indicates
this area is located within FEMA SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD AREA.
FLOODPLAIN USE PERMIT REQUIRED FOR ANY DEVELOPMENT, and
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County
Planning and zoning Commission on December 9,
1992,
the
Commission recommended conditional APPROVAL of the requested
abandonments with the applicants understanding and accepting the
following condition noted:
1. Approval from the Public Works Department.
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman
Standard, a newspaper of general circulation in the county seat,
Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, on December 19 and 26, 1992, and
posted December 18, 1992 as required by Arizona Revised Statutes,
and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Monday, January 4, 1993 APPROVED this
abandonment as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and
Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
