PAGE 1 OF 2 HOHAVE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RECORDING FEE 0.00 He IIICJOFJlMED RESOLUTION NO. 93-228 A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH A REQUEST FOR AN ABANDONMENT OF FIFTEEN (15') FEET ON THE NORTH, EIGHT (8') FEET ON THE EAST AND TWENTY (20') FEET ON THE SOUTH AND WEST OF THE EXISTING ROADWAY EASEMENTS OF PARCEL 197, SECTION 25, TOWNSHIP 23 NORTH, RANGE 17 WEST, LOCATED APPROXIMATELY THREE-QUARTER (. 75) MILE EAST OF STOCKTON HILL ROAD AND DIRECTLY SOUTH OF WILKS RANCH ROAD, IN THE LONG MOUNTAIN PORTION OF THE MORAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MORAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held August 2, 1993, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted to Steven and Angela Wilks of Kingman, Arizona, for the abandonment of portions of the roadway surrounding Parcel 197, located north of Kingman in the Long Mountain Area, and WHEREAS, Section 25 is located approximately five miles north of Jagerson Road and is bordered by Cherum Road on the east and Jane Avenue on the south. The property is accessed from Stockton Hill Road via Wilks Ranch Road east approximately three- quarter mile to the northwest corner of the subject property, and WHEREAS, review of Floodplain Map #040058-2155B indicates this parcel to be clear of a designated floodplain. The property is currently vacant. Surrounding land uses consist primarily of vacant land, with a few scattered residences to the north and east, and WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on July 14, 1993, the Commission recommended APPROVAL of the requested abandonment with the applicant understanding and accepting the following conditions: 1. That the north 15 feet, the east 8 feet, and the south and west 20 feet of the existing roadways surrounding Parcel 197 be abandoned. 2. RESOLUTION NO. 93-228 Page 2 WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Standard, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, on June 26, 1993, and posted July 16, 1993 as required by Arizona Revised Statutes, and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
