IIJalORlMEr ..--.... oP;"\ r.!J j'J;'~ A ,.",1"", 'I.. - ~ t'1 1.:"'~""~C- c. ~J~~~ RESOLUTION NO. 93-370 A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH A REQUEST FOR AN ABANDONMENT OF 34 FEET OF THE EXISTING 84-FOOT ROADWAY EASEMENT ON THE EAST AND THE EXISTING 42-FOOT ROADWAY EASEMENT ON THE NORTH SIDE OF PARCEL 14B, CANYON RANCH PROPERTIES, SECTION 14, TOWNSHIP 22 NORTH, RANGE 17 WEST, AND THE ABANDONMENT OF THE EASTERN 14 FEET OF THE EXISTING 84-FOOT ROADWAY EASEMENT LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF PARCEL 14B OF CANYON RANCH PROPERTIES, SECTION 15, TOWNSHIP 22 NORTH, RANGE 17 WEST IN THE LONG MOUNTAIN PORTION OF THE MORAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MORAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA. WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on January 18, 1994, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for an abandonment of the above described property.to Thomas and Marilyn Johnson of Kingman, Arizona, and WHEREAS, Parcel 14B is located approximately two miles north of Jagerson Avenue, and approximately one-half mile west of Stockton Hill Road. The property is accessed by Stockton Hill Road via Jordan Ranch Road, west approximately one-half mile to the southeast corner of the property where the abandonments are being proposed, and WHEREAS, review of Floodplain Map #040058-2l65C indicates this parcel to be in Zone C, an area of minimal flooding. Parcel 14B currently has a house located on the property. The surrounding area has a few scattered residential homes on large acreage, with the remainder of the area vacant, and WHEREAS, the existing 84-foot easement to the west is not being used and is unimproved, and a portion of the existing 84- foot easement to the east is being used as a driveway for the owner of Parcel l4B. Approximately 200 feet of this easement is being used as a driveway and the remainder of the easement is not in use and is unimproved, and ,. t~'t......, \ , :~::i.;;,? (.~..~~ .~~:J . . The Commission had some questions ~egarding an existing bladed roadway within the easement on the west side of the property. No representative was at the meeting to provide background information regarding the abandonment. The item was again continued at the October 13, 1993 P&Z meeting to further evaluate the abandonment to assure no property will be landlocked, and WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on November 10, 1993, the Commission recommended APPROVAL for an abandonment subject to the following: 1. That the following roadways easements be abandoned: A. The western 34 feet of the existing 84-foot roadway easement on the east side of Parcel 14B, Canyon Ranch Properties, Section 14, Township 22 North, Range 17 West. B. The existing 42-foot roadway easement on the north side of Parcel 14B, Canyon Ranch Properties, Section 14, Township 22 North, Range 17 West. C. The eastern 14 feet of the existing 84-foot roadway easement located west side of Parcel 14B of Canyon Ranch Properties, Section 15, Township 22 North, Range 17. WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Ar izona, December 19 , 1993, and posted December 17, 1993, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Tuesday, January 18, 1994, APPROVED this abandonment as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
