A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH A ZONING USE PERMIT FOR THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A WRECKING YARD IN AN A (GENERAL) ZONE ON LOTS
~ 159 THROUGH 172, AMENDED 66 BUSINESS FRONTAGE ADDITION UNIT 2,
SECTIONS 12 AND 13, TOWNSHIP 22 NORTH, RANGE 16 WEST, LOCATED IN
THE KINGMAN AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA.

WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held on November 1, 1993, a public hearing was
conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for a
Zoning Use Permit for the above described property to owner Gary
and Carman Moore of Kingman, Arizona, and
WHEREAS, the property is located approximately two and one-
half miles northeast of Kingman Airport and Industrial Park along
Highway 66. The property is accessed from Highway 66, and
WHEREAS, review of Floodplain Map #040058-2160B indicates
this parcel is located in Zone C, an area of minimal flooding.
The surrounding land uses consist of a small mobile home park on
the north, with residential homes to the south. The areas to the
east and west are vacant, and
WHEREAS, there is a building and a mobile home on the
property. This site has some infrastructure for a mobile home
park. The agent that sold the property to the applicant has
stated that a zoning Use Permit was issued for the site to allow
a mobile home park; however, the property is not being used for
that purpose, and no permit for a ZUP was fou~d in the Planning
and Zoning Department's records. The applicant is not interested
in pursuing the use of the mobile home park, and

1. The applicant comply with all applicable provisions of
the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
2. That appropriate zoning, building, environmental and
floodplain permits be obtained.

If construction or use has not commenced within one
year of Board approval of the Zoning Use Permit or if
the use has been discontinued for six months, then
approval shall terminate at that date.

This Zoning Use Permit is for an impound yard only,
which will be located in a 50-foot by 100-foot view-
obscuring fenced area located in the southwest portion
of the property.

WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman
Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation, in Kingman,
Mohave County, Arizona, November 21, 1993, and posted November 17,
1993, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave
County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Monday, December 6, 1993, DENIED this
Zoning Us'e Permit as recommended by the Mohave County Planning
and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
