RESOLUTION NO. 93-292
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH A ZONING USE PERMIT FOR THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE IN A C-2 (GENERAL
COMMERCIAL) ZONE, ON LOT 522, GOLDEN HORSESHOE RANCHES UNIT 4 IN
SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 27 NORTH, RANGE 19 WEST, IN THE WHITE HILLS
PORTION OF THE MORAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held October 4, 1993, a public hearing was
conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for a
Zoning Use Permit on the above described property to Kevin
Leonard of Kingman, Arizona, and
WHEREAS, Golden Horseshoe Ranchos Unit 4 is located
approximately ten miles north of Dolan Springs, and approximately
seven miles northeast of Highway 66. The property is accessed
from Highway 66 via White Hills Road east approximately eight
miles to the northwest corner of the subject property, and
WHEREAS, review of Floodplain Map #040058-1600B indicates
this area to be located in Zone C. There is currently a mobile
home located on the property. Surrounding land uses consist of
single family residences to the east, south and west, and a
subdivision land sales office to the north. The zoning
surrounding this parcel consists of commercial property to the
north, east and west, with R-l (Single Family Residential) to the
south, and
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County
Planning and Zoning Commission on September 8, 1993, the
Commission recommended APPROVAL of the requested Zoning Use
Permit subject to the following conditions:
1. The applicant comply with all applicable provlslons of
the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. Compliance with
Section 27.P (Site Plan Requirements) and Ordinance 87-
1 (Dark Sky Ordinance) is also required.
2. That appropriate zoning/building/environmental permits
be obtained.

3. If construction or use has not commenced within one
year of Board approval of the Zoning Use Permit or if
the use has been discontinued for six months, then
approval shall terminate at that date.
4. This Zoning Use Permit is subject to revocation upon 60
days notification by the Board of Supervisors if, in
the opinion of the Commission and Board, the continued
use of the property would be contrary to the public
health, safety, and welfare.
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman
Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave
County, Arizona, September 19,1993, and posted September 17,
1993, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes, and the Mohave
County zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Monday, October 4 1993, approved this
Zoning Use Permit, as recommended by the Mohave County Planning
and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
