RESOLUTION NO. 93-288
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH AN EXTENSION OF TIME FOR THE REZONING
OF PARCEL 17, LAZY Y-U RANCH PHASE 1, LOCATED IN SECTION 10,
TOWNSHIP 20 NORTH, RANGE 16 WEST, FROM A-R/36A (AGRICULTURAL
RESIDENTIAL/THIRTY-SIX ACRE MINIMUM LOT SIZE) ZONE TO A-R/9A AND
A-R/19A ((AGRICULTURAL RESIDENTIAL/NINE AND NINETEEN ACRE MINIMUM
LOT SIZE), LOCATED IN THE MOHAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MORAVE
COUNTY, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held October 4, 1993, a public hearing was
conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for an
Extension of Time on the above described property to Greg Ascroft
of Scottsdale, Arizona, and
WHEREAS, the subject property is located approximately four
miles southeast of the corporate limits of the City of Kingman,
and south of Hualapai Mountain Road. The subject property is
approximately two and one-half miles southwest of Hualapai
Mountain Road and is accessed via Lazy Y-U Drive. A private
easement will provide access to the new parcels, and
WHEREAS, the property is currently vacant, with the
surrounding area also being vacant. The parcel plat for this
parcel as required by BOS Resolution No. 92-151 has not been
recorded as of this date, and
WHEREAS, this zone change was conditionally approved by the
Mohave County Board of Supervisors on May 4, 1992, per Resolution
No. 92-151 to Greg Ascroft, of Scottsdale, Arizona, and
WHEREAS, the applicant has requested an Extension of Time
for one year. The applicant has stated in a letter dated August
3, 1993, and received by Planning and Zoning August 9, 1993, that
the revised parcel plat will be submitted after the title company
prepares the necessary signatures on the plat, and
WHEREAS, this request is the first Extension of Time for
this rezoning submitted by the applicant, and

WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County
Planning and Zoning Commission on September 8, 1993, the
Commission recommended APPROVAL of the requested Extension of Time
subject to the following conditions:
1. Continued compliance with conditions of BOS Resolution
No. 92-151.
2. This Extension of Time be granted for one year, being
May 4, 1994.
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman
Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave
County, Arizona, September 19, 1993, and posted September 17,
1993, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes, and the Mohave
County zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Monday, October 4 1993, approved this
Extension of Time, as recommended by the Mohave County Planning
and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
