RESOLUTION NO. 97-369 WHEREAS, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors met in Regular Session this 6th day of October, 1997, and WHEREAS, Hurricane Nora was moving North along the Baja Peninsula and was expected to enter Arizona in the City of Yuma area and move North along the Colorado River Valley entering Mohave County, and WHEREAS, heavy rains Wl3re expected to cause flooding to some residences and could cause heavy damage to the incorporated cities in Mohave County and the County's infrastructure including roads, drainage, channels, utilities, etc; and WHEREAS, this situation Gould result in a condition of peril to the health and safety of many of the citizens of Mohave County, and WHEREAS, because of this nature of the emergency, the Board was advised and polled on the 25th day of September, 1997, and agreed to declare a State of EmergencY' to exist in Mohave County, and WHEREAS, mutual aid is rt9quested from the State of Arizona; and WHEREAS, the Mohave County Emergency Operations Plan is hereby activated and in effect until further notice.
