RESOLUTION NO. 96-66 WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Mohave County met in Regular session this 5th day of February, 199(1, and WHEREAS, Section 30 I of Public Law 97-300 Title II[ of the Joo Training Partnership Act and Public Law 100-418 of the Economic Dislocated Workcr and Adjustmcnt Act (EDW AA), provides Fcderal funds to be used to provide employment and training scrvices to dislocated workcrs, and WHEREAS, Mohave County has dctermined that designation as a Title II[ Substate Grantee would provide fcll' the developmcnt of a servicc dclivcry system that would bc more efficicnt, effectivc and rcsponsive than the current systcm in place" and WI-IEREAS, Coconino County and La Paz County have also expressed interest in forming a three-County Consortium, which would be eligible to be designated as a subs tate area by the Governor. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mohave County Board of Supervisors hereby resolves to request that the Honorable 1. Fife Symington, Governor of the State of Arizona, designate Mohave County/La Paz County/Coconino County as Substale Grantee for the purpose of administering funds under the Job Training Partnership Act O.T.P.A.) and Economic Dislocated Worker and Adjustment Act (EDWAA). BE [1' FURTHER RESOLVED, that Mohave County invites the participation of Coconino County and La Paz CounlY in forming a three-County Consortium to provide 1.T.P.A. and EDW AA services.
