Street Maintenance
WHEREAS, on July 3, 1989, the Mohave Count.y Board of
Supervisors approved the Final Plat Recordation of Redwing Canyon
Estates, Tract 3017; and
WHEREAS, IIAs-built" Road Improvement Plans, sealed and dated
October 3, 1991, by registered engineer Donald L. ziemba, were
received stating that all improvements associated with this
development were completed in conformance with the improvement
plans and the Mohave County Subdivision Regulations and
Specifications; and
WHEREAS, on IVJay 12, 1994, the developer of Redwing Canyon
Estates, Tract 3017 petitioned the Mohave County Board of
Supervisors to accept Redwing Canyon Road and all streets in within
this subdivision into the Mohave County Road System for
WHEREAS, In a May 25, 1994, letter to the l-1ohave County Board
of Supervisors, Harold J. Ganyo, County Engineer, stated that the
streets were inspected and substantially conform to the plans,
specifications and County Standards; and
WHEREAS, a subsequent inspection was performed, by the Mohave
County Public Works Department, which noted certain deficiencies in
the Mohave County Specifications dealing with the construction of
these streets, whether the result of natural deterioration or
inadequate construction could not be determined; and

WHEREAS, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors, at their
meeting on February

request; and
WHEREAS, a public meeting was held on February 6, 1995 in the
Supervisors' Chambers at which time the request to accept was
discussed and considered by the Board; and
WHEREAS, no one appeared to obj ect and no written statement of
objection opposing the granting of the request of said petition
were received; and
WHEREAS, an investigation has been made by the County Engineer
and County Attorney who have reported to the Board that the design
and construction of the streets comply with Article 4.11 of the
Subdi vision and Road Maintenance Regulat ions of Mohave County,
Arizona, for un-paved roadways wherein it was established that:
.A.. The rights-of-way were properly established when
Redwing Canyon Estates, Tract 3017 was recorded on
or about 10-11-91, and when B.L.M. R/W Grant,
Serial number A23144 was n=corded in the Official
Records of Mohave County, Book 1029, Pages 329-332.
B. The streets have been laid out, opened and
constructed without cost to the County within the
confines of the right-of -way, and in accordance
with the specifications outlined in said Article
4.11.
c. The streets are connected to public roadways by at
least one road or street meeting the requirements
for permanent access as defined by statute.
WHEREAS, after a re'view of the request, reports, and
recommendations regarding this matter, the Board of Supervisors has
determined that it is in the public interest to accept t.hese
streets into the County System for maintenance.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors
as of this date does accept into the Mohave County Road System, for
the purpose of maintenance, the listed, described established, and
defined streets within the recorded subdivision of Redwing Canyon
Estates, Tract 3017.
Redwinq Canyon Road - from the Stockton Hill Road westerly to
Bradley Avenue.
Bradley Avenue - from the south boundary of this tract to its
cul-de-sac terminus.
Canyon Drive- from Bradley Avenue west to the west boundary
of this tract.
Mae Lane - from the Redwing Canyon Road north to its cul-de-
sac terminus.
Lilly Lane - from Redwing Canyon Road north to its cul-de-sac
terminus.
FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED, that these streets will be maintained
only to the degree of improvement (SS No. 101.10 C un-paved
roadways) at which they are now accepted by the County and that
Public Funds may be expended for the maintenance of the streets
herein described if and when a public need exists for such
maintenance.
