RESOLUTION 93-298 RED RIBBON CAMPAIGN WHEREAS, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors met in Regular Session this 4th day of October, 1993, and WHEREAS, National Red Ribbon Campaign was celebrated in every community in America during "Red Ribbon Week" in 1989, and WHEREAS, the NATIONAL FEDERATION OF P AREN'fS FOR. DRUG FREE YOUTH" and the DRUG FREE YOUTH OF AMERICA coordinated that grass roots community awareness program in a united effort with NFP representatives in each state, and WHEREAS, business, government, law enforcement, schools, religious insti tu tions, service organizations, you th, medical, senior citizens, military, sports teams, and individuals will continue to demonstrate their commitment to drug-free, healthy life-styles by wearing and displaying red ribbons during a continued week- long campaign, and WHEREAS, Mohave County wishes to continue its commitment to ensure the success of the RED RIBBON CAMPAIGN, and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mohave County Board of Supervisors does hereby support October 24, 1993, through November 1, 1993, as RED RIBBON WEEK and DRUG FREE AMERICA WEEK, and encourages its citizens to participate in drug awareness and drug education activities, making a visible statement that we are strongly committed to drug-free, healthy life-styles. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mohave County Board of Supervisors encourages all its citizens to pledge: "SUPPORT DRUG FREE COMMUNITIES." PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of October, 1993.
