MOHAVE COUNTY RESOLUTION NO. 92-123
ADOPTION OF CORRECTED LEVY RATE
LAKE HAVASU SANITARY DISTRICT
WHEREAS, in accordance with trl'e provisions of Title 42, Arizona Revised
Statutes, the Board of Supervisors did on July 1, 1991, make an estimate of
revenues and expenditures for the ensuing year; and
WHEREAS, in accordance ..7ith said title, and following due public
notice, the Board met on August: 1 ~~, 1991, at which meeting any taxpayer was
privileged to appear and be heClrd in favor of or against any of the
proposed expenditures/expenses or tax levies; and
WHEREAS, publications wen:! made as required by law of said estimates
together with notices of a meeting that the Board of Supervisors would meet
on August 19, 1991, to hear taxpayers and set tax levies as set forth in
said estimates; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lake H.:lvasu City did adopt Resolution 91-8-1 on
August 7, 1991 levying a tax on all property within the Sanitary District
and did publish Resolution 91-739 adopt,ing the fiscal year 91-92 Budget
including said Sanitary District tax; and
WHEREAS, the tax notices based on said estimates and leviE!s set were
lailed in September 1991 and the second half taxes become delinquent on May
, 1992; and
WHEREAS, in March, 1992 the Lake Havasu Sanitary District did notify
the county that an error had beEm made in that the amount levied by the
County was not in concurrence with the resolution adopted by the Board of
Trustees levying a tax on the property in the District; and
WHEREAS, the sanitary district's revenues are falling short of
expected expenditures and needed reserves; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors hereby
authorize the submittal of amEmded tax notices to property owners in the
sanitary district: for the purpose of collecting the needed revenues as
directed by the Board of Trustees of the Lake Havasu Sanitary District.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of April, 1992.
