HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-113 I I I RESOLUTION NO. 91-113 WHEREAS, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors has heard that the State and the Ari:wna Employment and Training Council may be considering combinin<J Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) Service Delivery Areas (SDA} in an attempt to reduce the number of SDAs in the State, and WHEREAS, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors agreed to have Mohave County and La Paz County designated a JTPA Service Delivery Area to provid4::! better local control over the JTPA program in Mohave and La Paz Counties and to ensure that expendi tures of administrat:ive and salary dollars remain wi thin the Counties, and WHEREAS, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors feels that the current statewide JTPA Service Delivery Areas configuration is working '\Tell for Mohave County and La Paz County residents, and WHEREAS, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors wants to go on record with the Arizona Employment and Training Council and the Governor of Arizona opposing any attempt to combine the Mohave County and La Paz County Service Delivery Areas into any other Service Delivery ATe,! and any attempt to combine rural Service Delivery Areas into larger consortiums. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVEm, that, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors opposes any at:tempt t:o combine the MO/PAZ JTPA Service Delivery Area with any other Service Delivery Areas.
