HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-027 I I I RESOLUTION NO. 90-27 WHEREAS, the Board of Supe:rvisors met in Special Session this 22nd day of January, 1990; and WHEREAS, February 2, 1990, marks the 200th Anniversary of the first meeting of the Supreme Court of the United States, and WHEREAS, the Commission on the Bicentennial of the United States Constitution has invited the States, Counties and Cities throughout the nation to join in recognition of the accomplishments of 200 years of our dual judicial system of Federal and State Courts, and WHEREAS, the future of our Republic is inextricably tied to the ability of our judicial system to forge the metal of legislation into meaningful tools to guide our citizens and leaders in the pursuit of our common democratic goals. THEREFORE, in recognition of this judicial legacy from colonial times be it resolved that February 2, 1990, be declared as judicial recognition day for Hohave County and that we all pause to reflect upon the importance and significance of the fact that after 200 years we remain a nation of laws.
