A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF MOHAVE
IDENTIFYING FY 1990/91 C0l1MUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING NEEDS
AND ACT IVI 'f I ES TO BE UNDER'['AKEN TO MEET SUCH NEEDS.
WHER.EAS, Title I of the Housing and Community Development
Act of 1974, as amended, states that the primary objective of the
Title and of the community development program of each grantee is
the "development of viable urban communities by providing decent
housing and a suitable living environment and expanding economic
opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate
income. ."; and
WHEREAS, Section 1'~6 (d) (2) (D) requires the Governor of each
state to certify that each unit of general local government to be
distributed funds will identify its community development and
hous i ng needs, i ncl ud i ng the needs of low and moderate income
person, and the activities to be undertaken to meet such needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Mohave hereby state that the community
development and hous i ng nE~eds of the County of Mohave i nc I ud i ng
the needs of low and moderate income persons are:
I. Assistance in planning and acquisition of public funds
and grants for water development and distribution
sy,stem for rural c:ommunitit:!s.
2. Construction of cOInmunity center and neighborhood faci-
lities such as libraries and park facilities.
3. Promotion of historic preservation for facilities with-
in the County.
4. Planning and construction of housing for low-income
people and special groups e.g. chronically mentally-ill
people within Mohave County.
5. Acquisition of rights-of-way and construction and/or
improvement of roads/streets to low-moderate income
communities.
6. Provision of facil:,ties to promote safety and security
within the County E~.g. road signs, street lights etc.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Mohave - hereby state that the activities proposed
to be undE~rtaken wi th FY 90/91 CDBG funds to meet such needs
under the Regional Account are:

1. General administration for CDBG Program
2. Recreational Facilities: Hualapai Mountain Park
3. Yucca Water System Improvements
THAT the Board of Supervisors has also identified the
following activities to meet thE! community needs under the
1990/91 CDBG State Special Projects:
1. Detailed Engineering Design for the So-Hi Water System
2. Master Plan for Chloride Water System
THAT the Board of Supervisors designated first and second
alternate projects in the event that the primary projects are not
fundable under the Regional and State Special Project Accounts:
1. Golden Shores Community Center Building Addition
2. Acquisition and Engineering Design of Right-Of-Way
(Littlefield/Beaver Dam Area)
Passed and adopted by the Board of Supervisors of Mohave County
this 20th day of August, 1990.
