WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on March l, 19 94 I a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for a rezone for the above described property to owner Janet Daniell of Bullhead City, Arizona, and WHEREAS, the property is located two miles north of Bullhead City and north of Highway 68, and is accessed from Highway 68 by r1S) Katherine Mine Road, which is an undocumented roadway, and -" WHEREAS, review of Floodplain Map il040058-2280C indicates this parcel is located in Zone C, an area of minimal flooding, and WHEREAS, the land useS in the area consist of a single family residence to the south with the remainder of the area vacant. There is BLM land to the north and east, State land to the west and private land to the south, and WHEREAS, the topography of the area consists of a variety of washes which have channeled through the terrain creating small steep hills. This rugged terrain limits the possible locations for the proposed evaporation ponds, and may require extensive grading, and WHEREAS, the applicant is requesting M (Manufacturing) zoning to use the site for liquid waste evaporation ponds. The applicant owns a septic tank pumping service and will transport the sewage to the site and empty the contents into ponds. If at the expiration of this period the property has not been improved to meet the use for which it was conditionally approved, the Board (after notification by registered mail to the owner and applicant who requested the rezoning) shall schedule a public hearing to grant an extension, determine compliance with the schedule for development or cause the property to revert to its former zoning classification. This action is in accordance with Arizona Revised Statues Annotated, Title II, Chapter 6, 11-832.3. WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, February 13, 1994, and posted February 14, 1994, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County zoning Regulations. {.~~~. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Tuesday, March 1, 1994, APPROVED this rezone as recommElnded by the Mohave County planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
