A RESOLU~10N SETTING FORTH AN ABANDONMENT OF A 60-FOOT DEDICATED
ROADWAY KNOWN AS TRUMPET WAY, MUSIC MOUNTAIN RANCHES, FROM EJ"
NORTE STREET TO THE NORTH SIDE OF LOTS 33-11 AND 33-12, SECTION
33, TOWNSHIP ?4 NORTH, RANGE l4 WEST IN THE MOHAVE COUNTY GENERAL
AREA, MOIIAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held on February 1, 1994, a public hearing was
conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for an
abandonment for the above described property to owner James White
of Kingman, Arizona, and
WHEREAS, the subject abandonment site is located north of
Highway 66 and east of Antares Road, and is accessed via Highway
66 from Antares Road north to Huntington Road, then east to Bach
Road, then south to California Road, then east to Trumpet Way,
then south to the proposed abandonment site, and
WHEREAS, review of Floodplain Map #040058-2025B indicates
that the property is within Zone C, an area of minimal flooding,
and
MIEREAS, the portion of Trumpet Way to be abandoned is a 60-
foot dedicated roadway providing access to parcels in Music
Mountain Ranches. The portions of Trumpet Way, to be abandoned
are located between Parcels 33-11 and 33-14 on the east, and
parcels 33-12 and 33-13 on the west which are 40-acre parcels
owned by the applicant, and
WHEREAS, the applicant has indicated that he would like the
roadway abandoned to create a 160-acre ranch without the division
of a roadway down the center, and
WHEREAS, the abandonment of this roadway will not prevent
any of the surrounding properties from legal aCcess to their
parcels, and
MlEREAS, the Mohave County Engineer originally denied the
Abandonment based on the following: The minimal existing road
network and traffic circulation in relation to the parcels as
created. The rights-of-way in this area are sparse and access
would be restricted and limited by this abandonment. This
abandonment would also create a dead-end situation on Trumpet Way
one-half mile in length, and

WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman
Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman,
Mohave County, Arizona, January 16 ,__1994, and posted January 18,
1994, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave
County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Tuesday, February 1, 1994, APPROVED
this Rezone as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and
Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
