RESOLUTION NO. 94-17
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH A ZONING USE PERMIT ON A PORTION OF
THE SW~, SECTION 13, TOWNSHIP 27 NORTH, RANGE 21 WEST, FOR THE
ES'l'AllLISIIMENT OF AN OFF-PREMISE SIGN ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE
PROPERTY IN A C-2H (GENERAL COMMERCIAL HIGHWAY FRONTAGE) ZONE IN
TilE MOHAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MOIlAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held on March 1, 1994, a public hearing waS
conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for a
Zoning Use Permit for the above described property to applicant
3M National Advertising of Phoenix, Arizona, and
WHEREl\S, the property is located north of White Hills Road
and east of Highway 93 and can be accessed directly from the
highway, and
WHEREAS, review of Floodplain Map #040058-1600B indicates
that the property is within Zone C, an area of minimal flooding,
and
WHEREAS, the surrounding land uses consist of residential
homes to the south located in the Triangle Air Park and a
commerCial business to the south along Highway 93. There is a
restaurant/bar and an auto service/towing garage on a separately
owned piece of property located on the west-central portion of
the site. The remainder of the area is vacant, and
WHEREAS, the site consists of an R-V park on the east side
of the property and a metal warehouse building on the northern
portion, and
WHEREAS, in 1978 P&ZC Resolution NOS. 78-139 and 78-140
approved Zoning Use Permits for two signs on the property. The
sign to the north is in use; however, the sign to the south has
been dismantled. The applicant intends to replace the existing
wood signs with larger steel structure signs, and
WHEREAS, the location of the proposed sign meets the
criteria for an off-premise sign, and

1. The Zoning use permit is for an off-premise sign on the
southern portion of the property only.
2. The applicant comply with all applicable provisions of
the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
3. That appropriate zoning, building, environmental and
floodplain permits be obtained.
4. If construction or use has not commenced within one
year of Board approval of the zoning Use Permit or if
the use has been discontinued for six months, then
approval shall terminate at that date.

This Zoning Use Permit is subject to revocation upon 60
days notification by the Board of Supervisors if, in
the opinion of the Commission and Board, the continued
use of the property would be contrary to the public
health, safety, and welfare.

6. The sign be located as far from the southern property
boundary as possible with the 1,000-foot distance from
the northern sign being maintained.
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman
Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman,
Mohave County, Arizona, February 13, 1994, and posted February
14, 1994, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave
County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Tuesday, March I, 1994, APPROVED this
Zoning Use Permit as recommended by the Mohave County Planning
and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
