' ',-' i}~- ~ DQ':J . . ~M1CROFI1.MED RESOLUTION NO. 94-176 A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH A REQUEST FOR AN ABANDONMENT OF THE NORTHERN 50 FEET OF THE ROADWAY EASEMENT KNOWN AS CRYSTAL DRIVE LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF PARCEL 284, AND THE WESTERN 50 FEET OF THE ROADWAY EASEMENT KNOWN AS CARRIZO ROAD LOCATED ON THE SOUTH 331.35 FEET OF THE EAST SIDE OF PARCEL 284, SECTION 14, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 19 WEST IN THE GOLDEN VALLEY AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA. WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on June 6, 1994, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for an abandonment for the above described area to owner/developer Black Hills LLC of Bullhead City, Arizona, and WHEREAS, the area proposed for abandonment is located south of Highway 68 and east of Estrella Road. The area is accessed from Highway 68 by Estrella Road, then south to the proposed road easement to be abandoned, and WHEREAS, the road easement to be abandoned, known as Crystal Drive, has not been bladed or improved. The portion of Carrizo Road proposed for abandonment is also in an unimproved state. A portion of Carrizo Road between Shipp Drive and Crystal Drive is in a two-tract state; however, the road is unimproved south of Crystal Drive and north of Shipp Drive, and WHEREAS, these easements have been requested for abandonment as a part of the proposed development of Black Hills Ranchos Subdivision, Tract 3301. The developer proposes to dedicate 30 feet of roadway in place of the existing 50-foot easements. In addition the developer proposes to have 30 feet of roadway dedicated adjacent to th~ subdivision creating a 60-foot dedicated roadway on the south and east sides of the proposed subdivision, and WHEREAS, review of Floodplain Map #040058-2325B indicates this parcel to be in Zones A and C. The portion in Zone A is an area of lOO-year flood, base flood elevations and flood hazard factors not determined. The remainder of the parcel is in Zone C, an area of minimal flooding. This parcel requires a Floodplain Use Permit for any development, and . .~ , . RESOLUTION NO. 94-176 Page 2 WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on May 11, 1994, the Commission recommended APPROVAL for an abandonment subject to the following: 1. That the northern 50 feet of the roadway easement known as Crystal Drive located on the south side of Parcel 284, and the western 50 feet of the roadway easement known as Carrizo Road located on the south 331.35 feet of the east side of Parcel 284, Section 14, Township 21 North, Range 19 West, be abandoned. 2. The abandonment shall be effective upon recordation of the Final Plat for Black Hills Ranchos, Tract 3301. WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, May 22, 1994, and posted May 20, 1994, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Monday, June 6, 1994, APPROVED this abandonment as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
