A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH APPROVAL OF AN EXTEN$.J:J1N:___QX_ TIME FOR
THE APPROVED REVISED PRELIMINARY SUBDIVISION PLAN OF CHAPARRAL
MESA II, TRACT 3042, A SUBDIVISION OF A PORTION OF THE NE\ OF
SECTION 28, AND PORTIONS OF SECTIONS 21, 22 AND 27, TOWNSHIP 22
NORTH, RANGE l6 WEST, LOCATED IN THE KINGMAN AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY,
ARIZONA,
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held August 8. 1994, a public hearing was
conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for an
Extension of Time for the approved Preliminary Subdivision Plan
of Chaparral Mesa II, Tract 3042, and
WHEREAS, the owner/developer of this tract is William Nugent
Construction Company of Kingman, Arizona, The engineer
responsible for the preparation of the drainage report and design
of this subdivision is Stovall Engineers, Inc., Bullhead City,
Arizona, and
WHEREAS, this project is located approximately l300 feet
east of Highway 66, north of and adjacent to Thompson Avenue,
The north boundary of the project is Jagerson Avenue. This
project is two miles north of the City of Kingman, and
WHEREAS, this proposed subdivision consists of approximately
120 acres subdivided into 583 residential lots and one commercial
lot. The minimum size of the residential lots is 6,000 square
feet. The commercial lot is approximately 19,000 square feet.
The density is 4.85 units per acre, and
WHEREAS, the developer intends that water and sewer will be
provided via connection to the City of Kingman, electric and
telephone will be serviced by Citizens Utilities, and gas will be
furnished by Southern Union Gas Company. Solid waste will be
collected and transported to the Mohave County Landfill, and
WHEREAS, Article 3.10 states, "Upon application to the
Commission and prior to the expiration of the time limit,
extensions in increments of one year may be granted by the Board
if the subdivider is actively processing the Final Plat. If such
action is not taken then all proceedings relating to the plat
shall be terminated.", and

WHEREAS, in a letter dated May 24, 1994, Mr. William Nugent
requests an Extension of Time to enable continuation of the
submi ttal and review process for the Final Plat of the next
phase. He advises that Phase "A" of this project has been
recorded and construction of all off-site improvements has been
completed and accepted by the County. The Final Plat for Phase
"B" will be submitted upon completion of Phase "A", and
WHEREAS, the Revised Preliminary Subdivision Plan was
approved by the MOhave County Board of Supervisors on July 22,
1991 via Resolution No. 91-199. Resolution No. 93-240 extended
the time until July 22, 1994. This will be the second Extension
of Time, and
WHEREAS, at a public hearing on July l3, 1994, the Mohave
County Planning and Zoning CommiSSion recommended APPROVAL of the
requested Extension of Time subject to the following:
l. Compliance with all conditions as stated in BOS
Resolution No. 9l-l99.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the

WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman
Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation, in Kingman,
Mohave County, Arizona on July 24, 1994, as required by the
Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning
Regulations.
