A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH A ZONING USE PERMIT ON THE NE~, NE~,
NW~, SECTION 12, TOWNSHIP 14 NORTH, RANGE 17 WEST FOR THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A NATURAL GAS COMPRESSOR STATION IN AN A-R/36A
(AGRICULTURAL-RESIDENTIAL/THIRTY-SIX ACRE MINIMUM LOT SIZE) ZONE,
IN THE MORAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MORAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA,
l. The applicant comply with all applicable provisions of
the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held on September 6, 1994, a public hearing was
conducted to determine whether approval Should be granted for a
Zoning Use Permit for the above described property to El Paso
Natural Gas Company. El Paso, Texas, and
WHEREAS, the site is located along the El Paso natural gas
line south of Yucca, The site is accessed from 1-40 via the Gem
Acres interchange, then south to the El Paso pipeline easement,
then southeast approximately 17 miles to the proposed site, and
WHEREAS, the surrounding land in the area is vacant exoept
for a small building to the north used by a fiber optic cable
company, and
WHEREAS, the compressor station is in operation and oonSists
of a large metal building, an open storage reservoir, and other
related material and equipment, The building and equipment is
surrounded by a ohain link fence, and
WHEREAS, review of Floodplain Map #040058-3025B indicates
this parcel to be in Zones A and D. The portion in Zone A is an
area of lOO-year flood, base flood elevations and flood hazard
factors not determined. The remainder of the parcel is in Zone
D, areas of undetermined (but possible) flood hazards, NOTE:
Previous FHBM 0113A shows parcel partially floodzone, and
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the MOhave County
Planning and Zoning Commission on July 13, 1994, the Commission
recommended APPROVAL for a Zoning Use Permit subject to the
following:

floodplain permits be obtained,

3, If construction or use has not commenced wi thin one
year of Board approval of the Zoning Use Permit or if
the use has been discontinued for six months, then
approval shall terminate at that date,
4. This Zoning Use Permit is subject to revocation upon 60
days notification by the Board of Supervisors if, in
the opinion of the Commission and Board, the continued
use of the property would be contrary to the public
health, safety, and welfare.
MORAVE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman
Daily Miner, a newspaper of general Circulation in Kingman,
Mohave County, Arizona, August 2l, 1994, and posted August 22,
1994, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave
County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 6, 1994, APPROVED
this Zoning Use Permit as recommended by the Mohave County
Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein,
