A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH AN ABANDONMENT OF ROADWAYS AND
EASEMENTS IN CAL-ARI INDUSTRIAL PARK, TRACT l094, EXCEPT THE
NORTHERLY 1526 FEET OF CAL-ARI DRIVE LOCATED BETWEEN INDUSTRY
DRIVE AND CAL-ARI CIRCLE, AND INDUSTRY DRIVE BEGINNING AT THE
NORTHERN BOUNDARY OF SECTION l3 AND RUNNING SOUTH TO THE TERMINUS
OF INDUSTRY DRIVE, LOCATED ON A PORTION OF SECTION 13 LYING WEST
OF 1-40, SECTION 13, TOWNSHIP 17 NORTH, RANGE 18 WEST IN THE
YUCCA PORTION OF THE MOHAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY,
ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board
of Supervisors held on August 8, 1994, a public hearing was
conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for an
abandonment for the above described property to representative
Don Van Brunt of the Mohave County Economic Development
Authority, Kingman, Arizona, and
WHEREAS, the site is located south of the Yucca townsite
between Interstate 40 and the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe
railroad right-of-way. The site is accessed from Interstate 40
via the Alamo Road exit, then west to the property, and
WHEREAS, the surrounding land uses consist of vacant land
wi th residential homes and a few commercial businesses to the
north in the Yucca townsite, and
WHEREAS, the proposed site consists of an existing
industrial park subdivision (Cal-Ari Industrial Park, Tract l094)
and a parcel of large acreage. Cal-Ari Industrial Park, Tract
1094, is proposed for abandonment and will be combined with the
adjacent parcel to create a larger parcel, and
WHEREAS, there is a paper plant
which will comprise most of the site.

WHEREAS, the abandonment of the existing subdivision will
reduce the encumbrances on the property and will allow the
proposed paper plant to have greater flexibility in the site
design and on-site circulation, and

WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County
Planning and Zoning Commission on July 13, 1994, the Commission
recommended APPROVAL for an abandonment subject to the following:
1, That the roadways and easements in CAL-ARI INDUSTRIAL
PARK. Tract 1094, except the northerly l526 feet of
Cal-Ari Drive located between Industry Drive and Cal-
Ari Circle, and Industry Drive beginning at the
northern boundary of Section l3 and running south to
the terminus of Industry Drive, located on a portion of
Section l3 lying west of I-40, Section 13, Township l7
North, Range 18 West, be abandoned.
6.
An additional 50-foot road right-of-way to be
on the remaining portion adjacent to the
right-of-way of Cal-Ari Drive.

3. The right-of-way of the remaining portion of Industry
Road shall be widened to 100 feet and dedicated to the
County, A lOO-foot wide right-of-way extension of
Industry Road shall be dedicated to the County
extending south from the southerly terminus of Industry
Road, abutting the existing right-of-way of Interstate
40, to the southern section line of Section 13.
4. A lSD-foot wide road right-of-way shall be dedicated to
the County extending westerly from the Interstate 40
right-of-way to the southwest corner of Section 13
along its southern boundary.
5. A l50-foot wide road right-of-way shall be dedicated to
the County along the western property boundary from the
southwest corner of Section l3 north one-quarter mile;
then continuing from that point with a 40-foot road
right-Of-way width dedioation terminating at the west
quarter marker (center of section) of Section 13.
7. Said dedications shall be via reoordation of separate
instrument.
WHEREAS, the notioe of hearing was published in the Kingman
Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman,
Mohave County, Arizona, July 24, 1994, and posted July 22. 1994,
as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County
Zoning Regulations,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors,
at their regular meeting on Monday, August 8, 1994, APPROVED this
abandonment as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and
Zoning CommiSSion and outlined herein.
