PAGE 1 OF 2 MOHAVE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RECORDING FEE 0.00 Ne RESOLUTION NO. 94-225 A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH AN ABANDONMENT OF THE NORTHERN 20 FEET OF EARL DRIVE LOCATED ON THE SOUTHERN BOUNDARY OF PARCEL 227 ON A PORTION OF THE SW~, NE~, swl:, OF SECTION 4, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 18 WEST, IN THE GOLDEN VALLEY AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA. WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on July 5, 1994, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for an abandonment for the above described property to owners Eldo and Bonnie Klingenberg of Golden Valley, Arizona, and WHEREAS, the portion of roadway to be abandoned is located north of Highway 68 between Maverick and Verde Roads. The site is accessed from Highway 68 via Verde Road, then north to Earl Drive, then east to the proposed site, and WHEREAS, the surrounding area consists of residential dwellings and vacant land, and WHEREAS, a rezone for this property was conditionally approved per BOS Resolution No. 94-50. Upon review of the Parcel Plat it was determined that the owner did not have enough land to create two one-acre parcels, and WHEREAS, the owner dedicated 30 feet of the existing 50-foot roadway easement that is Earl Drive. He is proposing to abandon the remaining 20 feet of Earl Drive. Upon abandonment of the roadway, the additional land is acorued back to the parcel which will bring~each lot above the required one-acre minimum lot size, and WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on June 8, 1994, the Commission recommended APPROVAL for an abandonment subject to the following: 1. That the northern 20 feet of Earl Drive located on the southern boundary of Parcel 227 on a portion of the SWl:" NE~, SW~ of Section 4, Township 21 North, Range 18 West be abandoned. 2. All utility easements will remain. "~ . . , RESOLUTION NO. 94-225 Page 2 PAGE 2 OF 2 RK 2430 PG 394 (FEE~~4-40389) WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, June 19, 1994, and posted June 20, 1994, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Tuesday, July 5, 1994, APPROVED this abandonment as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
