RESOLUTION NO. 94-352
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH A ZONING USE PERMIT ON A PORTION OF THE
SW~, SW% SECTION 13, TOWNSHIP 27 NORTH, RANGE 21 WEST, FOR THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A SWAP MEET IN A C-2H (GENERAL-COMMERCIAL HIGHWAY
FRONTAGE) ZONE IN THE MORAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MORAVE COUNTY,
ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeti.ng of the Mohave County Board of
Supervi.sors held on October 4, 1994, a public hearing was conducted to
determine whether approval should be granted for a Zoning Use Permit
for the above described property to Aqua-Glider Co. of Granada Hills,
California, and
WHEREAS, the land is located east of Highway 93 and north of
White Hi.lls Road. The site is accessed from Highway 93, and
WHEREAS, the surrounding land uses consist of a restaurant,
gas/service station and warehouse to the north, an RV park to the
east, and a resi.dential subdivision (Tri.angle Air park) to the south.
The remaining area is vacant, and
WHEREAS, there are some temporary shade booths and a number of
open grocery freezers on the site, and
WHEREAS, the applicant proposes an outdoor swap meet, with a
parking area in the rear and vending booths i.n the front adjacent to
Highway 93. There is a small building on si.te that will be used for
an office, and
WHEREAS, review of Floodplain Map #040058-1600B indicates this
parcel is located i.n Zone C, an area of mi.nimal flooding, and
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planni.ng
and zoning Commission on September 14, 1994, the Commission
recommended APPROVAL for a Zoning Use Permit subject to the following:
1. The applicant comply with all applicable provisions of the
Mohave County Zoning Regulations and Section 27.P (Site Plan
Requitements) prior to the opening for business,
2. The swap meet boundary is to be located in the area
designated by Exhibit A,

That appropriate zoning, building,

4. If construction or use has not commenced within one year of
Board approval of the Zoning Use Permit or if the use has
been discontinued for six months, then approval shall
terminate at that date.
5. This Zoning Use Permit is subject to revocation upon 60 days
notification by the Board of Supervisors if, in the opinion
of the Commission and Board, the continued use of the
property would be contrary to the public health, safety, and
welfare.
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily
Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County,
Arizona, September 18, 1994, and posted September 16, 1994, as
required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning
Regulations,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at
their regular meeting on Tuesday, October 4, 1994, APPROVED this
Zoning Use Permit as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and
Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
