RESOLUTION NO. 95-29
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH A ZONING USE PERMIT ON TAX PARCEL #402-33-067,
AS SHOWN ON MOHA VE COUNTY ASSESSOR'S MAP DATED NOVEMBER 23, 1994, IN A
PORTION OF THE SW 1/4, NE 1/4, SE 1/4 OF SECTION 4, TOWNSHIP 40 NORTH, RANGE 15
WEST FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN OFF-PREMISE SIGN IN A C-2H (GENERAL
COMMERCIAL-HIGHWAY FRONTAGE) ZONE, IN THE ARIZONA STRIP AREA, MOHA VE
COUNTY, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on February
6, 1995, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for a Zoning Use
Permit for the described property to Terry K. Reid, In Sight Advertising, Inc. of Salt Lake City, Utah, and
WHEREAS, the site is located on the south side ofI-15 and west of the 1-15 Farm Road exit in the
Littlefield area. The site is accessed from the Farm Road Exit on the 1-15 Frontage Road, then west to the
site, and
WHEREAS, the surrounding land uses consist of a few businesses along the south side ofI-15,
some scattered residential dwellings, BLM land to the west and south, and the remainder of the area vacant,
and
WHEREAS, the proposed location meets the zoning and spacing requirements for an off-premise
sign. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) requires the off-premise sign to be located within
1,000 feet of an established commercial business, and
WHEREAS, review ofFEMA FIRM Panel #040058-0025B indicates this parcel to be in Zone C,
not in the FEMA Special Flood Hazard Area. A Floodplain Use Permit is not required, and
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on
January 11, 1995, the Commission recommended APPROVAL for a Zoning Use Permit subject to the
following:
1. The applicant comply with all applicable provisions of the Mohave County Zoning
Regulations.
2. That the applicant obtain the proper Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) permit
and approval prior to erecting this sign.

3. That the appropriate zoning, building, environmental and floodplain permits be obtained
prior to erecting this sign.
4. If construction or use has not commenced within one year of Board approval of the Zoning
Use Permit or if the use has been discontinued for six months, then approval shall terminate
at that date.
5. This Zoning Use Permit is subject to revocation upon 60 days notification by the Board of
Supervisors if, in the opinion of the Commission and Board, the continued use of the
property would be contrary to the public health, safety and welfare.
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of
general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, January 22, 1995, and posted January 20,1995,
as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting
on Monday, February 6, 1995, APPROVED this Zoning Use Permit as recommended by the Mohave
County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
