HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-087 "O~. . 3 MICROFILMED RESOLUTION NO. 95-87 A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH A RESCISSION OF A REZONE OF BERMUDA PLANTATIONS, LOTS 18,19 AND 20, IN A PORTION OF SECTION 15, TOWNSHIP 17 NORTH, RANGE 22 WEST, FROM R-E (RESIDENTIAL RECREATION) ZONE TO R-M/S-D (MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL/SPECIAL DEVELOPMENT) ZONE, IN THE SOUTH MORAVE VALLEY AREA, MOHA VE COUNTY, ARIZONA. WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on March 10, 1995, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether to rescind a Rezone for the above described property owned by Owen Development ofMohave Valley, Arizona, and WHEREAS, Bermuda Plantations is located approximately 13 miles south of Bullhead City and is accessed from Highway 95 via Harbor A venue, then west on Levee Drive to the location, and WHEREAS, this rezone was conditionally approved by the Mohave County Board of Supervisors on December 2,1991, via BOS Resolution No. 91-313. It was extended on December 7,1992, with BOS Resolution No. 92-387. It was extended with BOS Resolution No. 93-355 on December 6, 1993, and was extended again with BOS Resolution No. 94-419 on December 5, 1994, and WHEREAS, the property owners requested in a letter dated January 11, 1995, that the rezone be rescinded and the zoning revert to R-E (Residential-Recreation). The owners have changed their plans and have decided to build single family residences instead of multi-family residences, and WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on February 8, 1995, the Commission recommended APPROVAL for a Rescission of a Rezone subject to the following: I. BOS Resolution Nos. 91-313, 92-387, 93-355 and 94-419 are rescinded as per the request of the property owners. 2. Upon rescission ofBOS Resolution Nos. 91-313,92-387,93-355 and 94-419, the zoning of Bermuda Plantations, Lots 18, 19 and 20, will revert to its prior R-E (Residential-Recreation) zonmg. 3. This Rescission of a Rezone of Bermuda Plantations, Lots 18, 19 and 20, will be effective upon Board of Supervisors approval. ,~ . . PAGE 2 OF 2 ilK 2~_.7R PG 77~ (f EA u_ T E .95-12837) Page 2 ~ RESOLUTION NO. 95-87 WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, February 19, 1995, and posted February 17, 1995, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Friday, March 10, 1995, APPROVED this Rescission of a Rezone as recommended by the Mohave County Plarrning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
