RANCHES, SECTION 30, TOWNSHIP 23 NORTH, RANGE 16 WEST IN THE MOHA VE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MOHA VE COUNTY, ARIZONA. WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on March 10, 1995, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for an abandonment for the above described property to John and Virginia Mason of Apple Valley, California, and WHEREAS, the property is located north of Calle Sonoita and east of A venida Mendez. This land is accessed via Stockton Hill Road, then east on Wilks Ranch Road, then south on Cherum Road, then east on Calle Sonoita to the site, and WHEREAS, the resubdivision of Turquesa Acres, Sunward Ho! Ranches was done in March, 1960. Tract "A" of Turquesa Acres contains 16.8 acres and was a non-accepted dedication set aside for a future school site or recreational area. Tract" A" is privately owned and the applicant would like to develop this parcel. The Kingman Elementary School District was notified by the Planning staff and stated that they were not interested in the property. This tract is similar in nature to Tract "A", Rubi Acres, Sunward Ho! Ranches which was abandoned by BOS Resolution No. 93-16 and set precedence, and WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on February 8, 1995, the Commission recommended APPROVAL for an Abandonment subject to the following: 1. That Tract" A", being within the resubdivision of TURQUESA ACRES, SUNWARD HO! RANCHES, Section 30, Township 23 North, Range 16 West in the Mohave County General Area, Mohave County, Arizona, be abandoned. WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, February 19, 1995, and February 26,1995, and posted on February 17,1995, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. .... . ~- . . PAGE :2 OF BK 2538?G 2 812 (FEE~95-128~3) , RESOLUTION NO. 95-106 Page 2 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Friday, March 10, 1995, APPROVED this Abandonment as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
