A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH AN ABANDONMENT OF A 42-FOOT ROADWAY KNOWN
AS HUNTINGTON AVENUE ON THE NORTHERN BOUNDARY OF PARCEL 25-2, MOUNTAIN
VISTA RANCHES, PHASE II, AS SHOWN BY BOOK 9, PAGE 14B OF PARCEL PLATS,
SECTION 25, TOWNSHIP 24 NORTH, RANGE 15 WEST IN THE MOHA VE COUNTY
GENERAL AREA, MOHA VE COUNTY, ARIZONA.
MOHA VE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on April 3,
1995, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for an Abandonment
for the above described prop~rty to Richard and Sharon Rose of Beaverton, Oregon, and
WHEREAS, the owner proposes to abandon a section of Huntington Avenue which is 1,322 feet
long and 42 feet wide. This section of Huntington Avenue cannot be constructed to County standards due
to the restrictions presented by an existing hillside. The owner has proposed an alternative roadway to
replace the abandoned section of Huntington Ave. The proposed section will run east to west separating the
IS-acre parcel and the 5-acre parcels, and
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on
March 8, 1995, the Commission recommended APPROVAL for an abandonment subject to the following:
1. That the section of roadway known as Huntington Avenue which is 1,322 feet long and 42
feet wide, located on the northern boundary of Parcel 25-2, Mountain Vista Ranches, Phase
II, as shown by Book 9, Page 14B of Parcel Plats, Section 25, Township 24 North, Range
15 West in the Mohave County General Area, Mohave County, Arizona be abandoned.
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of
general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, March 19, 1995, and March 26, 1995, and posted
on March 17, 1995, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
