RESOLUTION NO. 95-215
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH A REZONE OF FAIRVIEW MOBILE HOME ESTATES,
TRACT 3012, BLOCK 2, LOTS 1,2 AND 3, IN SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 40 NORTH, RANGE 16
WEST, FROM R-MH (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL MOBILE HOME) ZONE TO C-2
(GENERAL COMMERCIAL) ZONE, IN THE ARIZONA STRIP AREA, MOHA VE COUNTY,
ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on June 5,
1995, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for a Rezone for the
above described property as requested by Joseph V. and Joyce G. Hamilton of Mesquite, Nevada, and
WHEREAS, the applicants propose this zone change to allow the building of a dental office on these
three lots. The site is located about one mile east of Mesquite, Nevada on the Arizona-Nevada state line and
south of old Highway 91. The site is accessed from old Highway 91 and is on the southeast corner of old
Highway 91 and Fairview Drive, and
WHEREAS, each property has a mobile home on it. The surrounding land uses consist of a mobile
home on each property within the subdivision to the east of these lots, and
WHEREAS, review ofFEMA FIRM Panel #040058-0200B indicates this parcel to be in Zone C,
not in the FEMA Special Flood Hazard Area. A Floodplain Use Permit is not required, and
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on
May 10, 1995, the Commission recommended DENIAL for a Rezone based upon the following:
I. The proposed use is incompatible with the surrounding area uses.
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of
general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, May 21,1995, and posted May 19, 1995, as
required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting
on Monday, June 5, 1995, DENIED this Rezone as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and
Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
