RESOLUTION NO. 95-252
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH A ZONING USE PERMIT ON SHANGRI-LA ESTATES,
SECOND AMENDED, BLOCK 13, LOTS 15 AND 16, IN SECTION 5, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH,
RANGE 16 WEST, FOR A MANAGER'S MOBILE HOME AND OFFICE IN A c-2 (GENERAL
COMMERCIAL) ZONE, IN THE KINGMAN AREA, MORAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA.
1. The applicant shall comply with all applicable provisions of the Mohave County Zoning
Regulations. Section 27.P (Site Plan Requirements) must be completed and approved prior
to approval of permits.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on June 5,
1995, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for a Zoning Use
Permit for the above described property as requested by Richard P. Adams of Escondido, California, and
WHEREAS, the applicant is requesting this Zoning Use Permit for a mobile home and office for
the manager of a self-storage facility. The site is located northwest of Highway 66, east of North Bank
Street and south of Gordon Drive. The property is accessed from Highway 66 via northwest on Horizon
Boulevard to Sunshine Drive, then northeast to the site. The site is located on the northeast corner of
Diamond and Sunshine Drives, and
WHEREAS, the property is vacant and flat. The surrounding land uses consist of a mobile home
park to the southeast and the Mohave County Public Works and Planning and Zoning complex to the south.
The remainder of the surrounding property is vacant, and
WHEREAS, review ofFEMA FIRM Panel #040058-0002C indicates this parcel to be in Zone B,
not in the FEMA Special Flood Hazard Area. A Floodplain Use Permit is not required, and
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on
May 10, 1995, the Commission recommended APPROVAL for a Zoning Use Permit subject to the
following:
2. The appropriate zoning, building, environmental and floodplain permits will be obtained.
3. If construction or use has not commenced within one year of Board approval of the Zoning
Use Permit or if the use has been discontinued for six months, then approval shall terminate
at that date.

4. This Zoning Use Permit is subject to revocation upon 60 days notification by the Board of
Supervisors if, in the opinion of the Commission and Board, the continued use of the
property would be contrary to the public health, safety and welfare.
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of
general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, May 21, 1995, and posted May 19, 1995, as
required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting
on Monday, June 5, 1995, APPROVED this Zoning Use Permit as recommended by the Mohave County
Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
