EXHIBIT B (BOS Agreement #584) RESOLUTION NO. 96- 229 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF KINGMAN CONCERNING THE UPDATING OF THE KINGMAN AREA TRANSPORTATION STUDY. WHEREAS, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has funds available through its Small Area Transportation Program to assist local governments with transportation planning studies; and WHEREAS, Mohave County and the City of Kingman, in cooperation with ADOT, have previously caused the 1987 Kingman Area Transportation Study (KA TS) to be developed; and WHEREAS, Mohave County and the City of Kingman recognize that the 1987 KA TS should be updated in light of growth in the Greater Kingman Area over the past eight years so as to identify transportation related projects that need to,be addressed during the next 5-, 10- and 20-year periods in order to maintain a safe and efficient transportation network in the area; and WHEREAS, funds are available through ADOT to update the 1987 KA TS, provided that Mohave County and the City of Kingman supply matching funds equal to 50% of the cost of the project; and WHEREAS, Mohave County and the City of Kingman have agreed to split this 50% local match pursuant to the terms of an Intergovernmental Agreement in the fornl attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors finds that the execution of the Intergovern- mental Agreement is appropriate and in the best interests ohhe residents ofMohave County, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Mohave County that the attached Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Kingman is hereby approved and the Chairman is hereby authorized to execute the same on behalf Mohave County. .
